My LandCruiser has a Pentium4 processor in its ECU, as such just like we monitor everything that's automated by computers, I want to collect what sort of parameters are good both for onroad & offroad driving. I'll start with below, mainly for offroading: 1. Vehicle Speed: seems redundant cos we have speedometer, but mine is in Miles per Hour, so having KM/h is important to avoid speed cameras š Additionally any minute drop in speed means i'm losing power for momentum. 2. Gear Actual: unfortunately my OBD dongle doesn't connect to the transmission ECU so I can't get the transmission temperature to check for overheating. But at least I know constant shifting of gears will overwork my transmission š. A bit moot cos I drive in Manual nowadays, but when the terrain is flat I do switch it back to D and let it cruise on sand. 3. Engine Load: it should be up & down, something that continuously goes up to 100% means we are maximizing our engine power and may lead to engine overheating which is why the next value is Engine Temp š 4. Engine Coolant Temp: a bit redundant as we have it on cluster panel, but at least we know if it reaches 100 Celsius š 5. Throttle Position: sometimes you floor it, but it doesn't show 100, so things to check: throttle cable if not drive-by-wire, or throttle sensor for newer cars with pedal-by-wire. Sometimes it may even mean too thick carpet that prevents full pedal being pushed all the way down š

My regards to all, I have 2009 FX50 since two weeks i start facing problems with overheating. All issues starts when i replaced AC compressor which after replacement AC returns cooling perfect. but suddenly air recyclation was always switched off alone and bad smell comes inside the cabin. I went back to mechanic and he canceled the water heater line which goes inside cabin through front dashboard. Eventhough AC bad smell was gone because of this modification but i noticed the heating gauge was little bit raised up and keep satable . Two days later the car get overheating and i went again to mechanic he found the second fan not working and i replaced it . Now there is no risky overheating, but car not like one month earlier, its simply becomes crazy and still mechanic tell me everything is fine but am sure its not. Now the temperature gauge is raising little bit up if i stop on signal or stuck in traffic, by raising up the rpm raised to 900 instead of 700 , i hear upnormal noises similar to grinding noises , i feel this rough noise when i put my hand on gear stick and the overall temperature in engine compartment is higher than what i used to feel earlier, as a confirmation to this the wheather temperature display on dashboard increases 4-5 cĀ° while stopping car for 1 min. Meanwhile when i run with car at speed 100km/h for 1 min everything returns fine , no noise , temperature gauge returned to original position, temperature display in dashboard decreases to normal wheather temperature . Can anyone help me on this? If i returned the water heater connection is it going to resolve or affect my problems?

Recently I spotted in some occasion my honda accord is slightly overheating when stuck in long stop and go traffic and then come to normal when on empty road. Checked the coolant level and all looks good and normal. Any more headsup to what to look next?
