Hello @Gaurav @Frederic, I am currently looking to change the audio setup in my Xterra 2010. The head unit is stock along with the speakers but the speakers are torn. I don't want earth shattering bass and the build is a minimum budget one as this is just the weekend offroader. Looking for a richer and clearer sound overall with decent bass. I am planning to go with, and Should I change the head unit (couldnt find the pioneer 100wx4 @Gaurav. I can only see 50Wx4 available) Or keep the head unit stock and add an amplifier. Depending on performance, I might go for an under seat sub in the future. Your thoughts are welcome please.

While I was reasonably happy with my Pajero barebone speakers after installing the single DIN Sony unit few years back, now I decided to upgrade the whole car audio system - preferably to Pioneer. Though this is my offroad ride, so I want to upgrade this music system to mid-level audio and not the competition level please. I changed all the speakers to below Pioneer model: Front door: Pioneer TS-A1686S - 350W - 60W RMS Back Seat: Pioneer TS-A6996S - 650W - 100W RMS Now I am seeking advise for adding decent level amplifier and smallest but working woofer due to space constraint. I shortlisted below models, can someone more knowledgeable in car audio watts and numbers advise if this amp and woofer will be compatible enough to the speakers that I bought last week? Amp: Pioneer GM-D9605 - Class D 5-Channel Amplifier with Wired Bass Boost Sub: Pioneer TS-SWX2502 - 10" Shallow-Mount Pre-Loaded Enclosure
