Bu Shanab, Fatma Jumaa... and other 4x4 and cars nicknames

Yesterday @desertdude mentioned “Bu Jasim’s” in the “What Went Wrong” thread and I didn’t know what he meant. I was told that it was a reference to a 4x4 model, like Bu Shanab and Fatma Jumaa.

Who knows other local or international nicknames for specific 4x4 or cars models ?

I dont know Bu Shanab and Fatma Jumaa. First can you tell us what are they? 

 

In Turkey we have some codes;

E30 BMW = Jackal

W140 Mercedes = Contractor car

W220 Mercedes = Whale

In UAE the S600 was called Shabak, which means tank in arabic because of its huge size.

Bu Shanab is what they call a moustache with sharp edges pointing upwards which look like tow hooks that the Toyota Land Cruiser pickup used to have on the front bumper.

In English LC100 commonly referred to as a boat, because of its size.

Land Cruiser from 1998 - 2007, it's actual model name is J100 but people commonly refer as LC100 or 100 Series Land Cruiser.

The FJ Cruiser fro Toyota has been lovingly renamed as Fatima Jasim or Fatima Juma as when launched mostly UAE National ladies bought majority of those.
