Apex works the same way as this - you can pump it anywhere... BTW. aim for XL valves. Thanks Marek for the reply. It has been written in these forums that the Apex deflators are not compatible with gas station air pumps. Are you able to use the gas station air pumps ok?
Marek
of course the are OK it's the same exact same of valve tip in the end... I wonder what would anyone here consider incompatible? Bottom line - the tip fits your regular compressor nozzle. Gas station or ARB on-board compressor with a hose - it's the same valve thing. I keep hearing the same, apparently when trying to use the gas station inflator (like the pic below) there is no tight seal, and one should use a tissue paper over the valve to seal it tight. Another option is to use a tire valve extension piece: 1 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further."

Now, I'm trying different converters and extenders to find a fix. I'm still looking. So far, it is annoying that i can't use the petrol pump inflators. I have a decent onboard setup, but the petrol pump is still easier. This one didn't work, FYI.
Emanuel
FYI Pajero owners with TPMS sensors. These provided a spanner in the works so to speak. As it turns out, the Pajero TPMS sensors are clip onto to the valve stem and cannot be attached to the Apex deflator and the special adaptor that they also sell won't work because it is a screw based design. It could be possible to not attach the sensors and live with a permanent warning light for the TPMS system warning. Disabling it in the computer apparently is also very had to do. In the end, I decided not to do this and will continue to unscrew the valve to deflate. Also very fast and no additional cost. If anyone has an alternative solution, I'd love to hear about it.

So I am using the APEX RCV rapid deflation valuves. remove the stem core,.. and screw these over the existing schrader valve... rapid defaltion with no tools. Walk around undoing them all in order, stand for 30 seconds,.. walk around in same order doing them back up. gets to from 40psi to around 12psi in a minute I had a set on my pajero as well as you dont mess with any of the TPMS stuff... all bolt on the outside of wheel heres the link: https://www.apexdesignsusa.com/products/rcv-rapid-connect-valve @Emanuel
Aser
I use the same RCV as Luke and you can inflate in the petrol station... 👍 2
Alphin Aloor
I've found a workaround for petrol station air compressors and the Apex Quick Deflate. As shown in the pic, the ARB chuck effectively works as an adapter and is compatible with petrol pump push-on inflators. 1
