Dear Desertnauts

Thanks a lot for agreeing to change the date and time of this drive. I appreciate it very much.

We'll still celebrate Independence Day (the movie theme), only the Day After. This will take us in search of "aliens" along the string of star dunes and red sand cordons that extends from Pink Rock to Super Bowls. We'll try to stay "in altitude" by climbing as many viable slopes as possible.

The squadron's order will be the following:

@Johannes Roux as Wing Man

@Carl Stanley at Slot #3

@Jose Luis Campos at Slot #4

@Sam Selim at Slot #5

@Hani crest king at Slot #6 (please confirm if you still plan to come)

@Beide Worku at Slot #7 and 

@ChrisW in the Sweep Slot.

The meeting and deflation point will be the legendary December 2nd Cafeteria, as posted in the main thread.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning.

It was nice to see you all on the descent from big red!

@Ale Vallecchi thanks for leading a really fun drive, there was some good opportunities to stretch ourselves and the cars in there and plenty of learning opportunities. Getting out into the Pink Rock and Big Red areas was a chance to test some technical and bigger dune skills, with climbs at a few points too. 
 

It was a pleasure getting out with you all! Well done @Johannes Roux for carving good lines as second lead, plenty of Pajero learning for @Carl Stanley and @Jose Luis Campos, @Sam Selim you’re really at one with the car and the quality of your driving is coming up and up - and finally @Beide Worku it’s always fun to see the big cars carve through the dunes without breaking a sweat!
