Albert_Spa
Good morning Jerome. Finally I've received a message to work today, so I have to cancel the drive. This is not usual and has never happened before, just something urgent just this weekend.
_luke_
Fun drive this morning! Thanks @JeromeFJ for guiding us through a heap of different terrain! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQgj8L0EoDa/ You can post your pictures in the gallery here: https://carnity.com/gallery/category/2428-newbie-nahel-abu-dhabi-01-nov-2025/
_Herman_
This was a great drive! Thanks @JeromeFJ for choosing the scenery and handing us a nice array of challenges, long photogenic slopes and even a flat-out drag-race in the dust! (hope to see that ingredient on the menu more often 😍) Great atmosphere, great crew with @Andrew John Melvill, @Luke K P and @Diego in 2nd. In short, great way to start the saturday! 1
JeromeFJ
Thank you all for joining the drive this morning. We started with a series of large, sweeping dunes that tested both driver control and vehicle power. With a bit of speed, we experienced the effect of gravity pulling us down the steep slopes, emphasizing the importance of maintaining momentum. Careful throttle control and line selection were key to climbing the tall dunes without losing traction. The second part of the drive transitioned into more technical terrain, featuring smaller, sharper dunes and tighter routes that required precision and focus. Toward the end, we reached untouched, virgin dunes — smooth and unmarked, offering a sense of isolation and pure connection with the desert. Driving through these pristine sands was a rewarding conclusion to the journey. The Nahel Desert delivered an excellent off-road experience, combining the thrill of big dune climbs with the skillful navigation of technical terrain. The drive reinforced essential desert driving principles — momentum, control, and respect for the environment — making it both a learning experience and an unforgettable adventure. (partially written with Chatgpt, but is very well reflecting the drive !) Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and see you soon! 4 1
