qinsley
Can a water pump failure cause damage to an engine? It seems there's a lot of issues with the water pumps with this model so I wanted to know if it can escalate to a bigger problem like engine failure. praneyd
Which year model you are referring to??? Water pump is an integral part of engine cooling system. If water pump fails, then car will overheat within SECONDS and fry your engine and car stalls immediately. Check the water pump by pushing the fan blade in twisting pattern other side than its axis. If radiator fan has a little or more play then that means water pump is gone or about to go soon.
