  1. I have tried polaris, did not find it great, but did not use it extensively. The software only shows maps, when GPS are located, or I did not set it up correctly, so you can't browse on the map offline when signal is not met. I read somewhere that the phone satellite antennas are not as good as the dedicated units. If you are a Apple user, you can perhaps try MotionX, I have heard someone use this with success, and they use the 276c and Montana...wow that is far too many screens on his dashboard for my taste. I will report back on the Montana, so far it's good. Amount of memory it holds is great, and uses standard MicroSD cards, unlike the 276c, also can be used with AAA batteries incase main rechargeable battery dies. Montana screen colours react to polarised sunglasses, a shade of yellow tint is noticed, so orientation in portrait is better, and colours remain as intended.

  2. Its a shame how more and more off-road vehicles end up looking like an egg on 4 wheels and loose their off-road capabilities, or are restricted by all the computers on board.

  8. @William Manning you must be joking by saying Toyota Land Cruiser is the best offroad vehicle for dubai desert.....! Don't be mistaken by desert safari choice as they use Land Cruiser as a donkey for daily track and hardly do couple of sidey's to impress. Real expert off-roader can drive corolla on the same desert safari track. These people choose Land Cruiser as it is cheapest to maintain and damn reliable than any other SUV in UAE, but it is not "best off-roader". Why it is not best, because it has THE WORST body weight-power ratio and its long wheel base make it less appealing for dune crossing or ridge riding. In new models LC200 that comes with lower lip that get bashed up in first two drive and cost a fortune to fix. This misleading info from desert safari impression cost too much for every individual who think if safari guys using this for commercial use then it must be the best 4x4 out there. No it's not, I'm sorry.

  9. Well off course every car has a tendency to face some or the other problem. We can never expect that we will drive our car forever without any issues. It’s a machine and so all the car some or other day needs a repair. I know some common issues that I could never ignore in my car, so I will share the same. Leaking: Whether it is oil leaking or coolant leaking, never ignore it. It’s a pretty serious issue in the car actually. Since leaking happens in the engine system, all the auto parts in the engine are in the surrounding to be badly affected by the leaking. And not only that, leaking sometimes is so severe, that is any auto parts is affected by it, then there is no repair possible, but rather replacement is the only option. Steering imbalance: When you realize that your steering pulls to one side, then your tires are becoming dangerous for you. Steering imbalance happens when the tires are in trouble. May be tire imbalance, or shifting or conicity. Reason can be anything, but ignoring is never a solution to this issue. Car wobbling: When you know that your car wobbles too much at high speed, there is a greater chance of accident. I tell you why. When the car is wobbling, it is because of the wear/ tear of tires. And when tires are damaged, they need to replaced immediately otherwise they will make your suffer in the middle of the road when your tires will suddenly slip off from the car. Overheated engine: Well well well! When I had overheated engine, I ignored it to the core and guess what happened? Almost all the auto parts in engine were ruined because of that. Radiator, air filter, head gaskets, hoses, belts and water pump. It was a big loss to me. So if you have overheated engine, don’t be stupid like me and take your car back to the garage.
