Dear @Rinelle Sanaani, @Jun Zamora, @Yousef Alimadadi and @Mehmet Volga. I have received a proposal by @Lorenzo Candelpergher, who is also an authorized drone pilot, to be able to fly a drone during our Saturday's trip, to take shots and movies of our convoy driving through Pink Rock, Big Red and Badayer. This will be part of a "Drone Challenge" which eventually will put together different Carnity drives, with a spectacular set of images. In order to exploit in the best possible way the different hours of the drive, and the different terrains, I would like to move the meeting time to 5:30 SHARP (always at 2 December Cafeteria, as already posted). This will allow us, with everybody's compliance and rapid deflating, to move into Pink Rock proper, and climb it, just before sunrise (first light coming at 5:55am) and shoot the sunrise (scheduled at 6:18am) from the top of PR. Hi @clm mlf welcome to Carnity. First and foremost, may I know why are you choosing 2 door Pajero, specifically? Looks, off-road, fancy, special affection, etc....? Mitsubishi maintenance and spare parts (including used, aftermarket and OEM) are inherently expensive than any other Japanese brand. And that reflects clearly with low resale value of Pajero's. Just like to make you aware of this fact before you actually finalize your deal. Now let's talk about 200,000 kms mileage is considered high mileage vehicle and it will definitely require some extra maintenance within next 3-6 months of your purchase. On the bright side, although Mitsubishi parts are expensive but they also outlast others so if you plan to keep this vehicle for long time over 2+ year you will have trouble free ride after initial hiccups (if any). Mitsubishi Pajero's are good solid and reliable 4x4 if you take care of them. Last but not least, make sure that the last timing belt has been changed around 100K - 120K (max) and if it's not been changed at all, then simply walk away from this deal - as that tells enough of how good owner did the previous maintenance irrespective of mechanic or mutual friend tall claims. If timing belt has been changed at 100K, then you should be doing it again now at 200K and that is an expensive job so factor that immediate expense to price your deal wisely.

First Video at 0.28 sec you have very less momentum to go through that soft sand and climb on. One has to keep momentum and distance while doing in and out of bowls. Tricky but one will get better with each drive, more you do it the more you get better, confident and safe. Well done

Perfect @Lorenzo Candelpergher. I'll move the meeting time to 5:30 (knowing the exciting work you'll be doing with the drone, I am sure they'll all be happy to do it). This will allow us to climb Pink Rock just before dawn, so you can shoot the sun rising. Then we can take more shots either on Big Red and/or in Badayer, choosing a bowl that suites you best. Thanks @Ale Vallecchi very well said. . That drive seems to transport us to the real African safari with all those shrubs and acacia trees along the way. Though we did not encounter some lions ang giraffe but we were greeted by few donkeys, cows and of course camels. Nice drive !

Hey guys. I drive a pajero 2014 3.8 LWB. This would be my first newbie drive. M amazed at how fast the slots fill up for drives. @Srijith Gangadharan @Gaurav any recommendation for garages for the rear bumper sand scooping issues! I’ve checked the previous posts and they are quite old with no mention of location.

Nope, don't buy that as you won't be able to configure them without a cable, laptop and software. Buy the radio which has screen like Motorola MT777, Crony 777, Baofeng UV5R.

At the outset I would like to thank you for being part my first independent lead in Carnity offroad club. I assure you we will be having a lot of fun driving out there. Drive details: Location – on Al Ain road behind Skydive, we will be driving towards Margham, Lahbab and exit towards the pylon tracks which will ultimately take us back towards Al Ain road opposite Lisaili. Continue driving for about 200m once you reach the starting location shared and you will be arriving at the parking lot of Skydive where we will deflate and flag up.We will be doing a quick briefing and make the maximum out of the time in the desert driving. Climate – Expect it to be comfy, can be foggy early morning. Always better to leave a few minutes early so that you can drive safe. Sunrise around 6.17am (expected) Terrain – Small to Medium Dunes,long range, minimal plantation and bushes. Nonetheless there can be areas which will be technical needing your full attention and finesse. We will be doing more side sloping, ridge riding, criss crossing and technical areas. Technical areas are where your drive skills will be tested, as there is very little margin for error. You need to keep right distance from the car in front, right momentum and right approach. Towards the exit there are a lot of play areas with long range dunes, which of course we can enjoy as much depending on the convoy response and how early we reach there. See up close – Camel farms, Falconers, Gazelles and something which will be described on the drive! Exit – onto Al Ain road where there are gas stations at close distance, but better to inflate and drive on the highway. See you all on Saturday morning!
