Actually you might find it hard to believe but there was an Isuzu Amigo on YOUR Absolute Newbie drive ! These are superb little offroad monsters, driven by a friend of mine @abms2ktrooper4 points

These where badged as the MU (mysterious utility) probably the coolest name. Great little car especially with the 2.8 td. The drive train came from the commercial pick up and only really suffered from a weak clutch, they rusted out pretty bad as they spent a lot of time on the beach. Back when air con and electric windows were still a option 😂3 points

@Frederic hope to participate a bit more frequently this year with a few more isuzus to bring those numbers up 😊3 points

Hi @Shiboo Kr - Welcome to the Carnity and am sure you are looking forward to commencing this journey of off-roading! Please note this drive is for FEWBIE and above level, and I see you have recently joined, and accordingly you will have to undertake minimum no. of drives to level up to FB and then you can join the drives depending on what level you are at. If you have any prior off-roading experience with any other club , you can declare the same to be considered for a promotion without having to do minimum prescribed drives ( however subject to feedback from leads of the initial drives you do). Since this is a period where most of leads are on break, there is no Newbie drive scheduled this week, perhaps you can wait for one to be announced soon in coming week or so and take up the same to step up the ladder. Please see below the grading structure that we follow : https://carnity.com/forums/topic/16479-off-road-club-grading-structure-v30/#comment-89939 Hope this helps. Looking forward to see you in one of drives soon3 points

Dear @FERNANDO SYRIO the meeting point maybe either one of the following: https://maps.app.goo.gl/wMBpk9oN4kGbvbMe8 or https://maps.app.goo.gl/vsXqojmtRA1hLcb97 Will decide by Friday PM. Thanks for waiting.2 points

Yup, Isuzu was rebadged under Vauxhall, Opel, Chevy, Honda, etc.. Look at the Opel/Vauxhall Montery (Isuzu Trooper) or the Opel/Vauxhall Frontera (Amigo). Fantastic and probably as reliable as Toyota but the law suits in US and lack of service centers amongst other reasons killed it off. Isuzu was even the first to design the common-rail-diesel technology.2 points

Thank you sooo much, @DP1011, you always surprise me and 🌻🥹 Looking forward to our drive 💥💥💥💥💥1 point

@Frederic I love these little off-road cars; I think (could be wrong) that this car in the 90s was actually badged differently depending on the country it was being sold in. In America it was known as the Amigo, but in Europe it had the badging of Vauxhall Definitely a car that would look nice with some retro pinstripes1 point

You can try visiting the Al Awir Auto Market in Dubai or the Sharjah Auto Parts Market in Sharjah to find used parts for your A4B7 Audi. Additionally, you can check online classified platforms like Dubizzle and Souqalmal for affordable options. Make sure to inspect the parts and compare prices before making a purchase. Good luck!1 point

See for yourself. It is by @Batuhan Kulac's YouTube channel and the Jeep that I can see here seems that of @Gok Krish and he is talking about THIS drive.1 point

And if you are really lucky, you might sight a near extinct XJ. Some believe they have seen a unicorn 🤣1 point

Thanks @DP1011 that's sufficient for me.1 point

@FERNANDO SYRIO - Since you are not looking for exact location - Knowing @Ale Vallecchi - The close to proximate location for his Faqa drives is https://maps.app.goo.gl/u81DGTzZ4dsw1bAEA - I will let him confirm this though, but anywhere Faqa as location would not be too far from start point ;)1 point

Well Done @GauravSoni , with a Total Ascent of 520 meters and Max Elevation of 300 meters, for sure you have created one of the most exhilarating track for an Intermediate that starts from As-Saad nearby 👮♂️ police station and ends in An-Nabbagh 🐪 camel race track nearby Paratta Street cafe 😜 I'm amazed what you've pushed your 3.8L Pajero through, truly a testament that the right driver knows the strategies to get through the terrains he has experienced 👍 For those Intermediaters who want to re-live the experience, save this coordinate: 24.29542, 55.59138 That is the coordinate for the highest dune we climbed at 277m @Vaibhav sorry about your Jeep, you can tell Trading Enterprise (or Western Motors) that the Error Code it was throwing was Transmission Error P0776 that triggered Limp Mode P2110 and P2118. You can save the article below to reset your Electronic Throttle Body to get out of Limp Mode next time. But it seems you have Transmission issue, solve it in the order: 1) If under warranty ask for Transmission Replacement, the whole gearbox + valve body 2) If dealer refuses, ask them for Transmission Fluid Flush and check Trans Pan for metal shavings. If got metal shavings, ask for a free Transmission Rebuild. 3) If no metal shavings, ask to replace all Solenoids in the Valve Body 4) While they have the gearbox down, tell dealer to check wiring harness from Computer to Transmission, since since P0776 High could also mean wiring issue. @DP1011 do you have the 8-speed or the 5-speed bro? If 8-speed try driving in 4L-5th gear and if 5-speed try driving in 4L-3rd gear. Since you didn't re-gear, you now have to shift down to get more torque than the stock setting. We should sneak into a Newbie or Fewbie drive to play with the gearing and find your sweet spot bro 😁 @Looper great Second Leading, nevermind the joke Second Looping, don't take offence from these brutal Intermediate barbars 😄 It's never easy especially if your Marshal is going fast then slow-down, or hasn't decided to take left or right 😁 Eventually without you, that first car wouldn't have been winched back on track 😂 @Gertjan @Jaro Tuzinsky @Chris Wing the FJ Amigos. Chris is finally proving that the Black FJ is so much better than the Beige FJ 😜 Gertjan and Jaro are now A-TRAC masters whenever their FJs get stuck 👍 Prado Brothers @Waqas Parvez @ASAD. great driving as usual, always enjoyed your creative multiple tries whenever we found a play area 👍 Waiting for your Instagram videos on these... @Benjamin Not bad for a 3rd Intermediate drive, am sure you're getting the hang of it. No refusal with that Jeep and watching you play Catch-me-if-you-Can with the Yellow Looper and 2 Prados means you have mastered to be one with your machine and learning to enjoy higher-level drives 👍 Finally my Sweeper Brother @Mario Cornejo , that complete headers to exhaust system just screams beautifully in every climb-to-the-highest-dune moments. Man, I wish I'd bring the Insta360 to record your actions... oh well, that means I should join your drive again next time 😁 Until next time folks, that was a great convoy indeed.1 point

Thankyou all for joining me in my exploration of the amazing dunes of AD. @Gertjan @Jaro Tuzinsky @Waqas Parvez @Mario Cornejo @DP1011 @ASAD. @Benjamin @Chris Wing @Zed @Looper@Vaibhav We had some amazing time driving through some of the most beautiful area comprising of technical, Ridges, Soft patches, Long climbs , side slopes and everyone responded so well to the challenge. It was a great team effort to get @Vaibhav jeep restored with some magic trick by @Zed!!! i had my fair share of stucks requiring a tug and then a winch by @Looper while everyone drove exceptionally ( almost flawlessly). Thanks @DP1011 @Mario Cornejo and @Looper for brilliant support. it was a pleasure to see and hear the engines roar @Waqas Parvez @ASAD. @Mario Cornejo. i hope you all had fun as It was fun leading a super strong convoy! until next time! see you all in sand!!1 point

Thank you @Frederic, I'd be happy to help. @Pranjal Varsani The Y62 is an amazing offroad machine, but changing the bumpers is essential since the approach and departure angles of the stock bumpers aren't adequate. I broke my front bumper twice before opting to change it to a smaller design. The industrial area in Sharjah provide a lot of options, but my understanding is that all the shops give it to this one guy who does it for pretty much everyone. His Instagram is @bab_sahel and he charges anywhere from 1200 to 1800 for the front, inclusive of the bash plate which is essential. Try to get a bash plate which has a minimum of 8mm thickness. If you do go to him, tell him Salar with the Black Patrol sent you, hopefully he gives a better price. For the back, I've ripped the diffuser twice (thank you Fred for picking it up for me on that drive a few months ago!), but have not managed to actually damage the rear bumper itself. I've learned that the spare wheel actually does a good job of protecting the bumper, so I'm ambivalent about changing the bumper as of now; why fix something that's not broken (yet). I'm thinking of just getting a new diffuser, and removing it before every drive. But Bab_Sahel does have shorter rear bumpers as well. Here are a few pictures of my car: Keep in mind the above are fiberglass options. There are metal options as well, but the law is a bit shady as as to whether it's legal or not. I'd avoid the metal options, as you'd be at the mercy of the RTA supervisor during renewal. But anyway, here is the shop that has it: And here is a rear picture of my car taken yesterday on a Fewbie drive. As you can see the diffuser has tore off, but the bumper is fine. Anyway, hope the above was helpful. Keep us updated as to what you end up doing, stay safe, and have fun! Cheers, Salar1 point
