Dear desert wanderers @Anoop Nair, @Carl Stanley, @Victor Socaciu, @Jon L, @Mark B, @Zubail, @Pramod B, @Sameer D. and @Jeandre Bezuidenhout Important pre-drive details below: Be ready at the meeting point by 06:00am (or before) with tires deflated and flag erected. Please ensure your programable radio is fully programmed to all 9 Carnity channels, is switched on, fully charged and set to Channel 4 (446,081) for this drive. A full pre drive briefing will be conducted before we start moving and enter the sand. Please ensure everything in the car is tied down and there are no moving objects, please also ensure that you are using cargo straps & ratchets and not the bungy type restraints to tie everything down. Please check all car fluids (Oil (engine & Transmission, Coolant, Brake Fluid, Screen Wash etc), Reminder that tow hooks are essential front and back also please ensure that you have no hanging parts below the chassis. Please ensure you come with a full tank of fuel (as much as possible). It is summer so therefore very hot so please ensure you have head covering and plenty of drinking water with you so we can keep hydrated and protected from the sun as much as possible, sunscreen is also advisable. Ensure you have all the necessary gear for this drive level especially your tire deflator, pressure gauge, compressor, safety flag and radio. @Mahesh_ Driving in night is a different experience, some enjoy it and some dont...:) very subjective. However based on my personal experience, I would recommend you do one NB or FB drive, and understand if thats your taste and comfort...personally me too I dont have off road lights, but more than that i have 50% tinted glasses, so i realised my enjoyment is Day light drives but once in a while, specially closer to full moon I love twilight and night drive too:)...

@Gaurav will have to excuse myself from this drive- getting my car checked because of a faint burning smell- need to understand the issue.

@JeromeFJ you can always say that you were going after the design of the “fleur-de-lis” to make it more French and that was the closest design they had 🤓. Hope you have been keeping well!

DRIVE DESCRIPTION The intent of the drive is to cross from Al Hayer to Al Ajban, from the E66 to the E16. We will follow the direction of the dune alignments, from East to West, passing from one line to the other to find nice tracks. Expect a bit of exploration, and allow for some rerouting as we might have to bypass a few fenced areas. Hello there, I have only the stock lights, will it be enough to join this drive. Secondly it will be my first night drive any special requirements? Kindly advise

@Mahesh_, @Rk ram, @Cristian & @Anoop Nair Troubles with my Jeep aren’t over yet and I don’t see getting my car back by tomorrow- and even if I do; I would want to test it out because a lot of electrics are going to be changed in the car. Unfortunately I will not be able to conduct this drive this week. May I suggest you please pickup some other drives for the weekend. I hope I will be back in action in a couple of weeks.

ive used two zip ties at top, two zip ties at bottom, pulled them tight. hasnt slipped on me yet, and i have a pretty big flag

Hi @M.Seidam sorry for the late notice but I’m going to have to cancel the drive this evening. my car ran into an issue on Monday alternator broke giving loud rattling sounds. Doenst seem like it’ll be done by today. Sorry. I hope to see you soon mate
