Drive was excellent, displaying a great attitude despite a few refusals and moments of being stuck. Everyone in the convoy drove very well. While there was some vegetation along our route, we did come across mostly fresh tracks. This location is ideal for beginners, and there are other spots suitable for more experienced drivers as well. With 17 cars in the convoy, we returned right on schedule, which was impressive. @Frederic, you were thoughtful ensuring that the LC and Nissan Patrol bumpers are not getting damage and rerouting them. @Looper and the entire convoy, thanks for a great Sunday morning drive! A few minor issues aside it was a really good flowing drive through some relatively clean sand. Hope to get my rim issue resolved before next weekend! Again thanks for all the assistance with this! Enjoy the last few hours of the weekend!

Thanks for a varied drive, starting with some nice technical dunes Liseli side moving through some bushy areas on the way towards one of the Qudra lakes and a great surprise of to find clean open dunes to end off with.

Miracles do happen, a literal 11th hour call from the garage. I’m back on!! See you guys tmr.

Dear Desert Drivers Thank you for joining the drive today. The short convoy and the good ratio FB vs more experienced drivers gave us the flexibility to explore the Nahel area, and the possibility to try a few challenges. Passing by the lake at the beginning, we started with the nice open rolling dunes as a warm-up, with a few crossings to get a flavor of what was going to come. Then we arrived in a high dunes area, an opportunity for turning around a soft sand bowl, high climbs, high crossings with a view, and steep descent. After the break, we joined a technical area, all going well until at a point we had 3 cars stuck at the same time. Opportunity for the support team to demonstrate different recovery methods. Crossing the sabkha we went into an empty stretch of technical to medium size dunes, with very soft sand, with again very nice desert views. After a short break , a last portion of tech dunes and a sabkha run took us to a relaxing sand track and to the exit. @Wayne Momsen, @Yury @Ozgu, congratulations for a first fewbie drive. A promising start into this new level. @Andrei S, thank you for the second lead, @Rob S and @Ishak, big thank you for the support, @frederic demolder, thank you for being part of the team today. @Looperthank you for a great Sunday drive. Pace was great with marvelous bowls climbing, had a couple of pop outs one due to a rock placed by someone on a wide bowl, unlucky @Andrew John Melvill and handled very well. @Mark B great support throughout the convey as usual was the fastest tire fixing I’ve witnessed.

It’s roadworks, they are doing tarmac as they have on the rest of that stretch of road. But you can go the opposite direction and Uturn it only added few minutes
