  1. RSVP IS NOW CLOSED @M.Seidam@Ahmed Wagdy@VishalJC@Infaz@Kamal Parameswaran@Shamoon@Gunjan Jain@Frans M@Mostafa Elbadawi@Ozgu@Thomas54675@Ana@Vanessa8580 @Frederic@Shary@Hansmtb@BlackWolf@Rawad Ahmad@CY Bong@Andrew John Melvill@Noufal@Albert_Spa@Bhaskaran Ramaswamy@Ash S.@khurramm@J-P L Thank you all for signing up! Some pointers for tomorrow: 1. Please try to arrive 15mins earlier (6.45). That will give you time to deflate and set up your offroad flag. 2. Make sure to bring your offroad gears: deflator/pressure gauge, compressor, walkie talkie, shovel, and your flag. 3. We will do the briefing with the full group, after which we will then line up both convoys and start moving. 4. Take note that is not a dune-bashing drive, but a Scenic Drive. This means there is more focus on simply enjoying the scenery, using existing farm tracks sometimes, and the occasional social break. Perfect to learn your offroad skills in a gentle way and to get to know our offroad family 5. Both convoys have great support. I've marked them in yellow on the convoy list. These will be your first line of support whenever you get stuck or have a refusal. If you need help with deflation please do reach out to them as well. We are all here to help. See you all tomorrow morning !

  2. Dear Desertnauts. A quick briefing for tomorrow's Sunday drive. Besides the meeting point, now available on the drive's post and detailed page (one of the usual 2 meeting points along Faya Truck Road), the drive's plan may be varied halfway through. In fact, based on how well we drive in the first segment (including most of the "classic" Faya area (including the Fox Den), once we turn South to Al Khatim, we may actually divert the drive toward the Tilal Resort area. In fact, there is a very inviting stretch of pristine long-range dunes that we may choose to visit, east of The Desert Rose Safari Camp: if we choose this route we'll exit somewhere between the village of Al Khowrah, and the Sweihan-Al Ain Rd. The convoy order will be the following: @Abhishek Chikara in Second Lead @Amr J at #3 @Soap at #4 @B.K. at #5 @Sunstreaker at #6 @Aser at Center @Zsolt at #8 @Krinesh at #9 @Diego at #10 @Hani crest king at #11 and @ChrisW in Sweep. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning, with a full tank, as if all goes well we will surely extend the drive beyond the original plan. Have e pleasant Saturday evening.

  3. Here is a screenshot of our track. No stats yet for this drive because Gaia stopped recording our track for some reason during the break and I started a new track at the right spot. It's easy to combine tracks to have total stats, however, this time Gaia saved my first track as a route and I haven't yet figured out how to change it to a track. When I do, I'll post our stats here later and my workflow to change it back. Here is the Relive video of our drive yesterday.

  6. @GauravSoni Amazing, this is truly an epic drive! All the best, guys. I did this crossing a few years back, from Hameem Road to Al Qua Milky Way. Your drive all the way to Hameem is going to be a epic one. Drive safe, and I’m looking forward to your wonderful stories...

  7. We started our adventure in Lisali, heading southwest across fast tracks and gentle dunes that grew more technical as we progressed. Sharper slip faces and tighter formations led us through ridgelines, cross-dune sections, sand tracks, and pylon tracks before reaching the Qudra Secret Dunes, known for their golden sand and scenic beauty. We ended the drive reinflating and sharing our experiences. Most participants arrived on time and ready, except for one late arrival. Please remember: punctuality ensures we don’t delay others. After the briefing, we followed the planned route with only a few assisted self-recoveries. Radio discipline was excellent—drivers who lost track stopped and called in, and those unable to maintain a line exited safely and reported their position. Special thanks to Andrei and JP for calm, clear recovery support. When receiving advice, stay calm and follow instructions for smooth recoveries. Driving performance was solid, with good momentum and power when needed. A few cases of heavy throttle, but no wheels off the ground—great control overall. Thank you all for your teamwork. Have an amazing weekend ahead.

  8. @Emanuel thank you organizing the drive. It was awesome. It felt like everything was headed in the right direction: leveling up as a driver, getting to know my rig’s sandy mood swings a bit more 😀 A true fewbie adventure, helping us graduate to the next stage without (too many) dramatic moments. Again, thx! For me it was a perfect morning — and, no surprise at all, an excellent lead and top-notch support.

  10. DRIVE PLAN “Encircling the Sun” – An Off-Road Expedition Around the Maktoum Solar Park Across 3–4 thrilling convoy drives, our off-road club will take on a unique desert challenge: a full circumnavigation of the massive Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park — the shimmering heart of Dubai’s clean-energy frontier. This is not just a drive; it’s an adventure that blends futuristic landscapes with timeless desert wilderness. Drive 1 — Into the Golden Quiet - Faqa To Crescent Moon - 7 Dec 2025 We begin our journey on the Southside, in an area called "Faqa", where the dunes roll softly and long, flowing sandy tracks lead us toward the horizon.
