  1. More than 500,000 used cars are listed every year online on UAE car selling portals. So every time you plan to sell your used car that figure is your competition. So how does one go about selling used car quick and easy ? I have been asked this question more than 100 times in my life in Dubai, UAE and that's why I thought of writing this article and keep sharing and using it for others to help. In last 3 years I have bought and sold more than 7 cars for myself, my friends and family. Selling your old car can be pretty daunting task if you don’t know how to sell. Of course, even if it’s an old car a buyer will surely look on all of its aspects. With that, you have to make sure that your car is in good shape and proper working condition overall. You need to make sure that your buyer will be impressed with the first looks. Remember strongly that while selling softer tone, cooperative approach and friendly behavior will help. If you can't adopt any of these three things, sell your car at car dealer for quarter the price. Make Sure Your Car Look Awesome: They say dont judge a book by its cover, but in case of a used car its always judged by its looks. No matter how powerful your engine is or awesome your music system sounds if your car is not presentable from outside, there is a chance that the buyer might not even open your door. To do so you’ll probably spend some cash for detail cleaning, washing and some minor repairs. These all are necessary to make your car as good as new. More than 75% of car buyers always look for car that has no immediate cost and they can reliably use the car from the date of purchase. For placing an online advertisement make sure cars is extremely clean and drive off to spacious parking lot and take lot of pictures with the best phone or real camera you got. Post the ad with best 8-10 pictures showing all exterior and interior angles. Highlight any flaws, dents or scratches in picture, be more realistic and honest. This way you will filter the picky buyers and save lot of time in viewing. Always remember, the price is what draws peoples attention, but the description and photos is what causes them to call your number. Show the Love, Bond and Good Memories: Emotions sells better than anything else. So share your best car stories with the buyer, show your love, attachment and bond with the car that gives the new buyer a confidence in buying a car from a careful and loving owner. Share the story of you and your spouse had really good drive-time, kids love it completely and going to miss this ride, etc. This shows that you kept the car as a family member and not just a piece of machine and pushed it hard for having fun. What I meant is to show the love, if you really have it, but don’t fake it. Be Honest and Transparent with Full Car Service History: Last but not least, this alone is the key game-changer point that many owners don’t know the value of showing the detail car service history to a new buyer. If you have the dealer car service history, then it’s easy to show the records on booklet with stamps or receipts. If car is out of warranty and you have maintained the car with reputable workshop, then show all the service details and recent repair bills (if you have it). This builds the immense trust and helps you sell the car in NO-TIME. When done preparing your car, it's time to find potential buyers. Of course, even when I say it is to sell your car fast, you still need to be patient and wait for people to respond to your ads. Moreover, so that your advertisement will be really effective you should share it on the Social media and you might have to repost it sometime for more people to see. Fortunately, with all your efforts, someone will be interested and you can get the best price for the deal.
  2. Has anyone seen in today's Gulf news main newspaper page A3 down left, quarter page big apology from Volkswagen of breaking their customers trust and promising to earn that trust once again. Damn.......!
  3. Totally surprise to see that interior and color is the least important factor of car.......!!!!!! For me color comes the first and then at 3rd or 4th should be interior, as I spend all the time gazing at interior while driving so some type of eye candy and detailing is must in today's modern age.
  4. I know it's a concept and might not be seen in real ever, but it looks good from outside, though needs lot of work from inside to be real and comfy per Audi's standard.
  5. In short, you will not get these Hilux here. Second even if you import they might run into problem due to cold country spec and not hot country GCC spec car. If you really keen, then you can get the conversion done after you import it and I assume that might cost 2-5k AED changing the hi-spec AC, radiator, water pump, thermostat etc to suit the hot climate.
  6. Inside the Mirdiff from morning 7-9 anytime they are there most of the times.
  7. Looks like you have some solid advice's already, now I am curious to know what have you decided....?
  8. My rent notice also came higher by 10% and apparantely it seems justified by RERA rent calculator, so can't say it's because of fuel hike or expo 2020 lol or both
  9. Well instead of blaming anyone whether a brand or a dealer I believe if one be smart, attentive and cautious in dealing ou can get the best experience from the worst people in life. I have learned this in my life that when you act smart and ask all sort of questions with a strong reasoning then the other party consider you fussy person and leave no room to upset you to make any big scene. I learned this in Dubai, be as fussy and nagger as possible to get the best customer service. My two cents from last 5 years of experience here.
  10. Though it's just a suggestion, and even if it applies it will be only on new cars and big suffering will be the car dealer who is anyways who is anyways making hell of a money by having monopoly in each car brand. So this will ruin their car business revenue eventually and this type of ideas will be last to get implemented in Dubai as per my thought and assumption.
  11. I was reading some follow up news and found that some progress is happening in this racing strip, and authorities are seriously considering this idea. Nice but damn unbelievable to think of this to be true.
  12. Any rise by a dirham or fils will have impact on overall economy and from week onward we will feel the same from small grocery store, delivery boys to shopping malls. Everything around us will rise by a small fraction and impact big on monthly bills.
  13. Congrats bud for getting it sorted by Ford for free. This shows at least Ford UAE knows how to win a loosing battle.
  14. Just read Mark experience and it looks like to stay 100% away from ADNOC fuel station in Sharjah. Damn creepy.
  15. That's a super bad and Ford should fix this issue based on goodwill warranty even if they are really sure about the fuel cause. This will make Ford loose serious credibility in this region.
  16. Thanks guys, I got third opinion lol after all the confusion and he says he is not sure but cheapest way is to test with adding gas (100 AED) and drive for few days and see for yourself. Yes he did clean in front of car in inside grill with air and lot of sand appeared to gush out (thanks shadow79). So far it's doing good since last 18 hours and I am crossing my fingers and toes to keep it that way as AC compressor shit is gonna be expensiveeeee.
  17. After reading these creative ideas, I think how about the back glass itself (shud work)...! as scanner don't know whether it's front or back of vehicle. Image VW bettle passing through salik toll gate lol.
  18. Thanks shadow79, you are the first to answer my request in 2 days of sufering in heat. Can you tell me wht is gauge manifold please?
  19. I have seen some good light bras with Ramy trading in deira, yellow hat and Icon auto. Worth checking with them before jumping on an online bet, as you can see and feel the quality in advance.
  20. My Pathfinder AC is not cooling enough while standing in traffic or in slow moving traffic, but when car runs on free road it works fine. Showed to two different mechanics and each has a different opinion: AC gas need top-up, check for the leak, fix the leak and top-up gas: 200-300 AED depending on time required to search leak and fix it. AC compressor is weak and need change: 2500 AED. I don't mind spending 300 to eliminate that doubt, but what if compressor is weak then again I will spend same 300 for adding gas and bla bla. help me guys please.
  21. AMP stands for Amperage and it's a unit. In car various electrical component use different AMP fuses like some small stuff are 5 AMP and others 10-20-40 AMP. And btw to make life easy all are color coded and also imprinted AMP on the spine. Check attached you will understand.
  22. I so agree with Gaurav that older pajero is good in desert but newer one may be more powerful but not advisable for regular desert as it will break front and back bumper every now and then.
  23. Nutbolt, it's quite a debatable topic to comment. Why are we even bothered about here for those street warriors, let them do whatever they want to do with their life and money. If they are so serious about either one of the stuff they should race professionally and not egoistically.
  24. Just get the oil change to maintain record for better resale, rest go outside and save money and time. (I don't write too much)
  25. Of course we all know that 20 kmph is grace before camera clicks. No brainier. btw I don't drive like grandma in fast lane, I stick to 118 on the road of 100 and that 2 kmph shouldn't make that hell of a difference.
