nutbolt replied to Frederic's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Are you sure about Stewart Warner there are tons of cheaper and accurate options SW is a prof race grade and very pricey -
I used K&N one time and stopped after because cleaning in sand is headache. My friend got some oil free brand of free flow filter and he was happy - cant rem the name.

Alternator fuse blows when starting
nutbolt replied to Frederic's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Also worth checking the engine main power line that feeds the spark plug coil maybe short and that's why engine not cranking and blowing the fuse. You need a big load to short that battery fuse, it cant be music system or light chewing this much. -

Well in any age, price of flagship models will retain its value compare to other run of mill cars. You can't compare Land Cruiser value with Yaris, though both are Toyota and Japanese

After seeing yesterday post fo dubai police fines discount promotion, and people jumping left right and centr i really got curious to know how much on an average you spend on traffic fine every year. I don't spend more than 1000 - 2000 in a year and this amount is an averae of last 5 years or so.

nutbolt replied to Keithryan's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
If it drown the noise means lifter running dry and at high rev comes the high pressure lubricating the lifter If its not lifter, noise will increase more and will be obvious to notice even with engine noise -
Ticking/clicking noise - Mitsubishi common issue?
nutbolt replied to Keithryan's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
When you hear that ticking noise after 30 minutes, give more accelartion and notice if that noise goes away at 2,000 - 3,000 rpm or does it increase? If it goes away could be oil / oil pump rel;ated issue if it doesnt go then it could be something big issue inside the engine of valve or tappet or rockers need replacement. -
I also think you can drive safely as far as your insurance is valid

This is probably the best solution I have ever seen to deal with tailgater who constantly dip the light until you move. Dip the light now you bitch, and face the creepy 4 bitches on my back.

Very good move guys, too bad i'm reading this on short notice -
I remember this when my freelancer driver used to get this old beauty with spring seats to counter the road shocks and cornering discomfort. Anybody remember this amazing beauty here....? Apparently she has been kept in very nice condition. https://carnity.com/classifieds/mercedes-used-cars/1989-mercedes-se-500-r4630/

Congrats on your new ride and indeed Xterra is a very good and capable 4x4. I am not an Xterra owner, but my two cents are below: Air filter alone doesn't make any fuel mileage difference unless accompanied with chip tuning. Air filter just make it breath little freely and make you FEEL smoother of throttle response, at same as previous RPM. Any major change in weight gain/reduction will make noticeable difference in fuel economy. Any major change in vehicle geometry or aerodynamics make big difference - bullbar, roof rack, bigger lift etc. 35 kms gain per fuel tank could be the difference due to your driving habit or change to different route....? You can compare your reading with other Xterra owners here: http://www.fuelly.com/car/nissan/xterra/2012

I so agree with @Danny that its real celebration for actual car enthusiasts to stick together for common good. Long live this community spirit.

Barry what Gaurav is mentioning is the UAE version of same SWB Land Cruiser you had. It comes in 4.5 liter same as LC100 engine but in SWB - 2 doors called as LC70 / 76. I had that for few months and it is a beast but without any creature comfort at all. In stock state you can climb on the tallest sand dune, but when on road those leaf springs is not nice and comfy and interior sucks big time. I heard from my common friend that newer one coming with some basic features and good interior looks, but havent seen one myself yet.

Chevrolet Trailblazer Shifter cable broke
nutbolt replied to Gaurav's topic in Chevrolet Trailblazer Forum in UAE
Sad to hear about this Mr. Gaurav, isn't this shifter cable snap is a known error for Trail blazers? I know 3 guys who have 02-09 model and all of them gone through this, not sure about new ones. What was your car mileage? Better to get it changed as it cost around 50 USD for that cable from ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AC-Delco-15785087-Trans-Shifter-Cable-Assy-Trailblazer-Envoy-SSR-Bravada-NIB-/390663066805- 20 replies
