  1. Everything is always minor from selling point of view from car dealers and auction site. Tables turn when you sell it, guy slashed 20K from my Mustang as one the steering wheel volume button was faded and he said we need to re-upholster the whole car interior. Sold next week at fair price by myself. Please look into private deal if you are not in car buying/selling/fixing business, my humble two cents. You can actually get a super clean cars at a very good bargain price if you are regularly scanning the adverts daily. I bought all my cars from Private deal since 2002. I tried many times the used car dealers and auction sites when I was desperate but I never ended up buying any after wasting lot of time.
  2. Unless you are a sound mechanic or technician who wish to buy this and fix it for own use / resell, I wouldn't be going anyway closer to such junk to waste my time and money. Car buying with clean history and test report throws so many issues after few months, let alone this screaming and shouting car with tons and tons of red flags, concern and suspicion.
  3. Good question and thinking, but I'm running at max height in front already due to IFS. Any further lift will strain the CV joints and keep breaking them every month, now they are breaking once every year.
  4. Well if he like to sell the car, then he should be comfortable in answering these test discrepancies. If its not a rare car that you are after, I would pass on smallest red flag on chassis or engine.
  5. This sound either a discrepancy on RTA system or wasta to pull out and conceal things. God knows. Can you answer my previous questions....?
  6. I have used Euro gulf early this year for my range small hole in bumper and they seem to do a good job in fixing the hole and painting whole bumper. Only stupid stuff I spotted that Euro gulf location in google maps is different where they send you to drop your car, nearby but stupid that RSA can't give exact location other than just Name. I dropped car in Europe rent a car workshop - maybe sister concern.
  7. Can you open the details of these? Looks like at some point chassis had some issues and I will be very curious to know how did it passed again after few days. Second seems tires, must be old so he changed for renewal - normal Cylinder case is also doubtful that it shows car had 6 cyl engine, but owner changed to 4 cycl - why.....? Error in RTA data - It's OK Customer change engine - why, where, which, at what kms etc. etc.
  8. Good one, but tbh Pajero OEM suspension is a blessing that gives that Soft, Medium and Hard setting with a flick of single button. On soft setting it's same as before on road so no complaint at all abt back or spine, its just the body roll on roundabout is scaring me little due to new COG but I guess I have to learn if spring doesn't settle down by an inch. So far in last 3-4 days, no sign that it will settle down. On the contrary, these new heavy duty springs were super awesome in dunes, rough patch and rear high clearance allow me to escape from narrow pockets far easily than before.
  9. I thought it was weight loss Carbs, and I was like No....!
  10. I kind of agree, I also doubt as I had Aragosta rally breed suspension in my Patrol and even on softest setting it use to kill my back on long drives.

  12. Hahaha, It's not so bad to change drive style just little bit stiff even on comfort settings. On the contrary this heavy duty rear springs + fully stretched shocks (i guess) eating bumps like tarmac. Tried few hard run on rough patches and didn't feel a thing.
  13. I told you too, that Pajero in that year had same spring for SWB and LWB as per the product number search and habtoor adviser. Same have been confirmed with scrapy too today. They have tons and tons of petrol springs, like in hundreds. Now this was a new turn in story about diesel, which I never expected even with scrap here in UAE, but Jabal tokyo main work is bringing Japanese scrap and exporting to various other diesel loving countries.
  14. Here's the latest update. After enough research today was the action day. Researched options: Habtoor = 1400+ and 30 days wait for 2 springs OME (ARB) = Started Pajero from 2000 onward, mine is 1999 Dobinson = 3500 for whole suspension +6 weeks wait, as changing 2 springs will kill my stock suspension soon. King Coil = 750 for 2 springs, 7 days wait. Scrap = 200 for OEM springs. Iranian craftsmanship = Not convincing of there cutting and making it fit ideas. Today morning went first to Iranian shops to see what they have and they can propose, but overall feedback was very shaky, dicey and scary that I left that market in 10 minutes. Now my concern was If I go with OEM again and continue with rubber spacer, it might relocate the spring and break them again (50% doubt). So went to my favorite Pajero scrapyard Jabal Tokyo, sat and explained my concern to the big boss and he said then go with Diesel Pajero spring that comes in thicker coil and lesser used due to export. Upon checking this diesel spring is an inch shorter in height but thickness must be 24 mm instead of 18 mm (stock). Looks very solid and heavy duty, with Pajero seating shape molded on one side, makes a perfect fit. So I picked both diesel and petrol springs, to experiment and on first attempt diesel ones sat perfectly well without a 2 inch spacer and even gave me little more than 1 inch extra than before. As per mechanic this 1-1.5 inch will settle after a week, as spring must be sitting for a while. I really hope this settle down, as right now rear rides very stiff and body roll is a bit of concern on speed. Wheel arch spacing: Before: 5.5 Inch Broken side: 5 inch Diesel Pajero Springs: 7 Inch This is still work in progress, so if after couple of drives ride height reduce little and flex comes back, then i will keep these or else I will order king springs and finish it off.
  15. Nice choice of area for waking up intermediate drivers whole night. Can't miss it.
  16. One time it was me pulling him from a soup soft sand pocket as he ignored my radio of "Don't Come". On third little harder tug frontend was out, it was because of back design partially as hook was not on frame.
  17. Sharjah shops for original spare parts are relatively cheaper than in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
  18. 500%, as brakes are always pressed under full load and when heated up, they wear the brake pad faster than melting ice. 35K on single pad is pretty decent and actually good knowing you have done mountain descend too.
  19. I'm hearing this now since few years and as per the recent podcast along with Glenn Power who was the panelist in Automechanika Academy we discussed this same topic. It seems that too much work involved in grading 30-40K workshops and that too it should be done every year like in KHDA for school rating as people leave workshop and join new ones every year.
