  1. so you changed it the first time when it was 184000 ..? was pretty late change you should not have bothered to change it after it crossed 120k
  2. in older engines there is more clarence in between the parts so better use the thicker oil which when heated will change less in viscosity
  3. how much was it driven prior to being changed and how much you have driven since the change...like in how many kms you do the atf change...?
  4. hope that water was clean as here after 30 days it'll be golden and rusty which is really not a good idea to gulp down...
  5. when was the last time you had the atf changed and its filter...?
  6. maybe the fans are turning but not at the required speed...and in rare cases the engine itself might be weak that's why when you put load of compressor or push it abit hard and it starts to heat up along with what @sertac and @Barry mentioned
  7. any kind to get together without permission will get you tossed in if its making a disturbance
  8. toyota corolla tercel 1999 i really have no idea from where to start a review but here we go i got this car ar 250k kms for 2.5k aed and ran it for another 450 or 500k it had a smoking engine which i replaced and she was back up and spurring like a kitten with carb powered 2efe 1.3 cc engine that not gonna roar but will get you wherever you want thanks to its 5 spd manual gear it had more then enough to run around everywhere i need to be and was my trusty partner for use in the workshop for hauling parts it had the best fuel economy as its a 1.3cc which used to give a run of around 600 plus per tank the car itself in look wise is really basic not a cheap box but if you can toss some $$$ then this car can make heads turn and the interior is also very basic with a stereo system and the seats are not that comfy for very long drives the windows were manual and there was only 1 airbag for the driver others would just hope for the best i guess there was no abs not much electrically loaded as you can guess but still its a really wonderful car to have as the maintenance cost is very low and the fuel economy is great and the air conditioning is built of very tough components the summer afternoons could not make it bow down the parts are readilly avalable in orignal and even aftermarket is nicely catering to this kitten the small parts like door handle interior handle or the window handle to bonnets doors even the used market has everything this car requires to run like the fornt headlight pair is 200 aed which would be the cost of only 1 headlight in many newer cars this car has reached such a stage that you can buy it of the market for 2k to 4k depending on the condition and for using it for 2 to 3 years it still part with almost the same amount from you only if you take good care of it...these cars are very hard to comeby if in really good condition as the owners are still in love with tercel and are reluctant to part with a gem that toyota produced the last were produced in 1999 as then toyota echo took over P.S : the 2 pictures is of my tercel and the rest is sourced from the internet
  9. oh yes the flip light american accord and before those the the marks and gts then later on those pesky maximas Those were the days when I had a dream of growing up and having a pack of Marlboro red a mark 2 and run wild around town well those days are seeming tough to comeby...
  10. in 2002, 2004 here was also a craze going on with the 320's was a fast strong car but after that poof almost all went to junk yard my friends elder brother used to have the convertible one and we used to do burn outs and donuts on it
  11. the best thing you can do is remove the tank and clean it inside out then change the pump strainer and toss them back in and through check the pipe with pressurised air till the rail joint then remove the injector and manually clean then then toss them in sonic vibration tanks then fix them on a glass rail and check their spray pattern and quantity on idle ,mid speed and high speed to be sure that nothing funky is with them
  12. that screw you are you are seeing is mainly used to adjust the idle speed when your engine ages and looses a bit of compression that same type of setting screw is also in toyota camry 1999 mounted on the driver side strut tower in the engine bay and some more cars of that era also seem to have them in machanical or electrical types....
  13. some of the people I know are trying to head to Europe and some are just going back....am also seeing lately the shops which used to have key money are slowly vacant and empty if trends continue like that vat plus the increasing government fees then economy will squeeze pretty tight...
  14. its easier to say then do my brother have you ever been to the municipality office or lately the so called chambers of economic development @Barry you wouldn't be singing this song...its like you need this piece of paper stamped ok pay this and get it stamped and go to other counter and pay and get it stamped few days go by in this process if you have wasta yet still you are paying but the process will finish say in a day if any one stamp is not there then your licence process will halt untill you cough up and finish that
  15. i am desperately not asking for handouts but sure am not in the mood of getting my ass raped every year with a new scheme for looting money...i dont have any water or toilet facilities here at my shop yet every year i have to pay sewerage and this year they took 1700...this year they relieved our shop for from the waste collecting fee which was 2.5k per year really dint know we produced waste too as the boxes and carton are taken by the paper old man and old oil is collected by the oil recycling guy and other waste shop stuff like alternators starters and engine gear basically any metal stuff is taken by the scrap guys well while renewing my shop agreement they have levied a new tariff of 5k along with the 10% of rent + 300 they take as service fees people who are on salary see things differently and people who run things have a very different prospective...
  16. @Barry you forgot to mention the star in it...starlet
  17. yes sure the government allotted that fund to local governments to fund their own people so all expatriates can drop their high hopes of any social security as you turn 65 we all can too f off this country...

  22. there are many who have good spare change so they just toss cars in the collection or sometime in a yard to rot heard from a friend of a friend that used to work for someone in alain that guy had a very big house and had as many as 150 or 200 cars in there he just used to drive them around until he got bored and then went to get another one...
