  1. In a convoy that was full of IM and above drivers, you did exceptionally well to not be fazed by it. The drive indeed was at a brisk pace and that was possible due to the entire convoy.
  2. The meeting point has been updated. Seeing the strength of the convoy I have taken the liberty to experiment on the route and the starting point.
  3. I am not sure, but what I am sure of is that I am not going to be seeing the rear view mirror 😂

  12. Congratulations @Ale Vallecchi. Your innovative drives and passion towards offroading as a pure sport is something we all admire. Hope that you keep blazing away with the finesse and precision that you can only deliver.
  13. Guys, just a reminder that in event of fog (similar to today), the speed limit on all roads in Abu Dhabi drop to 80 km/h and the cameras are automatically programmed to send you a SMS at 81 km/h.
  14. To join Fred and make it to the NB convoy, @Zed please don't get stuck on every dune.
  15. Looks like pics from the dinosaur age. If we see closely we might find @Gaurav🤣that's how long he has been doing offroading
  16. One trick to check if a Pajero LWB has been offroaded is to see if it has a rear bash plate. That's the most basic upgrade you need to do on a Pajero before taking it on the sand.
  17. Isn't this a 2012 car driven 220K km. I believe chances are there for engine mounts to go bad or become dry after such a long time even with normal road usage
  18. Exit the Iftar drive and join this one first. Iftar drive has no drive participant restrictions.
  19. Not when 2 out of the 4 leafs were already broken From my understanding the shocks need to prevent the leafs from extending fully. If not you will have failure.
  20. @Krishna R did only one leaf break or the entire set? I don't think the spacers would have caused your leaf spring to break. I have had a case where both my rear leaf springs set had failed at the same time. But this happened only once in about 7 years of offroading. This didn't happen all of a sudden, but over a period of time which I realised later in hindsight. Whenever I used to overload the vehicle it would sag quite a bit at the back. So what exactly happened is that out of the 4 leafs the smallest ones had already broken and during the final drive in Sweihan while cross-crossing the big leaf gave away. And the same must have happened on the other side as well. In my case the springs had no rust as well, infact they are made of hardened steel that don't fail so easily. Your shocks are the ones that prevent the full flex of the leaf spring. Maybe it has a bit too much travel and allows the suspension to flex more than what it ought too.
  21. There is a typo error. I think you meant XJ model 😅
  22. Good morning everyone. Our convoy is pretty similar to the last Intermediate Night Drive in Sweihan. Looks like we all have some unfinished business. 😅 Looking forward to a Rocking Night. See you at the meeting point at 7 PM. We would be using Radio Channel 3. Convoy Numbering 1. Srikumar 2. Waqas Parvez 3. Amr Aydin 4. Mayank 5. Angela 6. Vaibhav 7. Imran Kashif 8. Asad 9.
