  1. Anybody remember the first street legal 1000 bhp Supra? Built by Top Secret/Smokey Nagata in the late 90s. It ran a 1GZ-FE V12 from a Toyota Century. Max Power ran a feature on it back in the day where they tried to break 200 mph on a uk motorway. Nearly did it too, they managed 197 through traffic. Very illegal but it was one of the coolest things at the time. The car went on to eventually hit 222 mph on a track.

  2. Not sure I would be interested in a course but if you were to make a YouTube show like @sertac said, I would probably watch it. Something like Wheeler Dealers but with more humour. Not everyone has time or money to get into flipping cars but more people would watch an entertaining show.

Bought a PS4 few weeks ago and it keeps me quiet.

Bought COD, but thats not my cup of tea, the guys online are too good.

Now I am playing GT Sport, doing the skills to earn free cars.

Also playing The last of us, also not bad.

If we didn’t have the curfew, I would never have bought it.

Playing online with randomers for the first time is a steep learning curve. I thought I was a god on forza until I got xbox live. Used to beat all my friends. I got my ass handed to me every time. Most of these guys are nerds who live in their mothers basements and game 14 hours a day. There’s no way you can compete with them. I did get pretty good at project Gotham racing. Made it to number 3 in the world then the servers got shut down.

If that’s what your mother says, then that’s what it means. If she is anything like my mother, I will have to agree with her that the sky is green and the sea is red. Saying yes and smiling is the key to an easy life.

I’m not really a gamer but got some pretty old consoles at home that my kids love to play with. Most of them I got for free as they were collecting dust somewhere else:

    - Sega Master System. Love the classic games like Sonic. Nostalgia

    - PS2: we have all the singstar games so kids and sometimes myself love to karaoke the evening away. Also Buzz and some other cool stuff like the early GTA.

-Nintendo Wii: only use it for playing Mario Kart with the kids. Never been impressed with it.

-PS3: got this from my brother in law as he upgraded to PS4. Has GTA5 and some other really cool games, but more suitable for adults imho.

If you want to game yourself, a PS4 or Xbox is definitely a great buy. If you want this to be a family thing then I’d recommend the older consoles or Nintendo switch.

If you happen to have an Apple TV, there is also an option called Arcade that for a small subscription you can install and play some really nice games.

I have master system and C64 at home. I still play some of the classic games on emulator on PC when I get bored. I had emulators and roms for both on my phone for a while but they are difficult to control on a tiny touch screen so I junked them.

Here’s mega drive on the phone

  6. The main deciding factor is probably what do your friends play? If you want to play online, you’ll need the same console.

I used to play playstation but Im on Xbox now, mainly because I got into Forza and Halo games when they come out and I never looked back. I prefer the Xbox controller too and I can use it on PC games. Not a fan of the switch, I think it’s more of a kids thing.

It’s best to try everything and see what you like and check out what games are available that you might be into. Most reviews are a bit like the ford v gm thing and they’re clouded by brand loyalty.

  7. I know I might preach a lot on carnity about jacking cars but I do so with reason. I know too many people who have been hurt or killed by cars falling on them.

One old guy I used to restore cars with made it to 70 years of age. He made a mistake and got squashed to death by a shitty Opel ascona. Hardly a car worth dying for. He lived a happy life. Could have spent another 20 year playing guitar and smoking ganja on his porch but he got killed because of a stupid mistake. 70! He was a really good friend. I learned a lot from him. Then one day he was gone because of a stupid mistake.

Never work under an unsupported car. A hydraulic jack doesn’t provide the support you think it does. I can tell you horror stories which end with my head getting nearly squashed.

Spend the extra money. If you’re buying a jack, buy a pair of axle stands. It could save your life.

It's all done on FL studio with no external hardware synths and instruments.

Totally in the box with studio headphones

Only external hardware I use sometimes is the Korg Mini 25 midi keyboard to figure out some chords and stuff. Because I'm tone deaf and know very basic music theory

Music theory isn’t the be all and end all that some people think it is. You try stuff, it either sounds good or it doesn’t. If it’s good, you record it. The best music comes from the heart, not mathematical calculations.

  9. I just want to go back to work. Spent months sitting in the house hunting for jobs after the owner of my previous company got involved some shady criminal stuff and skipped the country. Finally got a new job and this happened. No gym, no pool, no beach, no outdoors. Netflix and Xbox gets old fast when you aren’t even allowed out to go for a walk. That’s all I want now, to go back to work.

  10. Looks like they’re lifting it to change the wheel? I’ve done it plenty of times myself when worked in the scrapyard and had access to a forklift. I would never go underneath a forklift though, not even put my hands under it. I had a car up around head height on the forklift once to remove a subframe and one of the chains snapped on the forklift. Got lucky, only one broke and I got the heck out of there, the other one held the car up. A week later a friend in a neighbouring scrapyard was doing the same thing and the car fell on him. Broken legs, broken hips, broken ribs, lucky he wasn’t killed. That put an end to everyone in the area working under cars on forklifts.
