    Congratulations @bony raphi, you have impressed me from the very first drive. Very well calculated and following all the advises very well. Love the way you approach the drives and looking forward to your further growth by learning the fun parts in our Fewbie drives.

    Congratulations @Adam Marston. I have noticed on the last drive that you follow all the advises very closely and remain a very safe driver with a good distance and the distance helps you to read the car in front of you as well as take evasive action if required. The trick to your success is a perfect gap between cars, where you are neither to close nor too far. If too close you would leave yourself with no options, if too far you would not be able to see what the car in front of you has done. Well done, looking forward to seeing you on the next level of drives.

    Congratulation @Wrangeld, well deserved by both Richard and Marjan. Vast improvement and ready for the next level. Would highly recommend to have separate logins as after the Fewbie level it would be difficult to promote not knowing which driver is going t turn up on the day of the drive. I beleive this user ID is for Richard, my promise that once Marjan creates her own ID I will promote her to Fewbie level immediately.

    This sun shade is only for the Ninja warrior who has trained over the years to measure the distance of the approaching object by the sound. Awesome product.

    @Chirag S. I have not seen any vehicle with a 4WD engine yet. Normally manufacturers would use the same engine in their SUVs and saloons.

    I have seen Rav4 in the sands here, that is an AWD, but it cannot take too much rough and if stuck it can hardly recover itself, Hardly any refusals and mostly stucks. In addition there are some places where you want to move at high speeds, but the AWD at 40 KPH goes to being a 2WD, that can never be helpful when you are out in the sands. Still better to have an AWD compared to an SUV with front wheel drive only, many examples in Mitsubishi ASX, lower end models of the new Pathfinder, Renault Duster and so many more. Thanks to people taking a liking to SUVs but not the fuel consumption or repair costs for something they do not use (4x4 function) where most manufacturers are satisfying the majorities. Thank God for a few manufacturers who are still investing in 4x4s, but with too many computers which does not suit me 1 bit.

    @Per A its a Pajero thing. you just need to take a few on the chin. For the price a 4x4 is too good to be true, so it is too good to be true. You get a few noise here and a few noise there and some vibration that just haunts you for a while and disappears or mirrors rattling. Just need to take some good with the bad. if the car is in an undriveable state then we can think about how to get it moving again.

    As the name suggests this drive is good for newbies and fewbies alike. The plan is to have the initial part as a newbie drive for about 2 hours from Mahafiz to Fossil Rocks, and we will break for a bite and some drinks before the newbies can be escorted out. From the Fossil Rocks to Faya will be a fewbie level and hoping for a quick run to reach Faya and have about 30 minutes of pa time there. Newbies and Fewbies will have a great chance to see and learn the real fun that off-roading offers in a very safe and organized environment. Since timing will be crucial I request everyone to respect everyone and be on time. When: 20 December 2019 Meeting time: 6:00 AM, the convoy will move at sharp 6:15 AM Where: Adnoc Petrol Station Maleha Road GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/ye28yTnTSYr Level: Newbie, Fewbie and above. Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. Plan: Drive, train and enjoy till about 11:30 AM What to bring along: Snacks - whatever you like with little extra to share, water, liquids, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Approximate finish time: Newbies about 9:30 AM and Fewbies around 11:30 AM Please RSVP on the below calendar.

    This is a very good topic as I knew only about the wheel spacers, never knew about reducing the back spacing of the rims. Tuned in to learn more. As per my knowledge besides the American brands, the Australian branded wheel spacers are also good options.

    I too like @Gaurav bhai like to concentrate on the drive and surronding sights and sounds. When I'm on my way to the meeting point or driving back home I like to hear peppy Bollywood numbers. Exception to the rule is if I'm feeling sleepy driving back home, I continue to use my radio to chat with @Gaurav bhai or @Srikumar to keep me awake.

    @Emmanuel absolute beautiful trip report just as amazing as your lead. After a long time I really enjoyed the drive and I could feel participants were hungry for more. Thank to @Jamy B. for her company and great to see @Xaf and @Shamil improving on crossing the ridge as the drive progressed. @Ale Vallecchi and his family were just amazing picking up other people's garbage, just made me realize you have to practice it during a break. It was lovely to see smart driving from @Ale Vallecchi as he kept a very cool head and had a few refusals but recovered well. Overall a fun filled afternoon. @Brette to learning the ropes along with @AKR, both are driving their Jeeps to the limit. Great to see people develop over time.
