    Trip Report Convoy 2 After lining up the three convoys, we headed out for some dunes and my aim for the day was to give the newbies that did some drives already a slightly more challenging terrain. With @Joe Biju Joseph In my second lead we were able to make good progress and we hardly had any stucks or refusals. @Wrangeld and @Jeepie did great sweep duties and I’m always comfortable knowing that they have my back. @Colin Jordan I’m sure you’re proud to see how fast Cara was learning. You both carried an infectious smile throughout the drive. @md sarfaraz and @Nitin Mohan throughout the drive you initially struggled a bit finding the right momentum but in the last quarter of the drive I saw you both grow and taking the dune approach with more confidence and momentum, well done ! @bunty_and_pops @Febin Frederic @Jolly Abraham @Sajithsasyou guys drove with full confidence and without any struggles. Keep it up ! We’ve seen some recovery work, shoveling, and overall lots of people smiling and enjoying the great weather and area. We’ll be back for more !

    There are tons of restrictions which I won’t go into detail about, but the CB style radios are definitely illegal and if police catches you with this huge aerial and radio inside, you’ll be coughing quite some dirhams.

If so, where and when ? - Are your vehicle's front and back towpoints in good condition ? - Does your vehicle have 8-10" ground clearance ?

    He really started to rev up the moment he did the criss-crossing, so i have the impression he started to fishtail and was too late to correct it. Probably it was indeed a bit of a climb and he reached a soft spot and assumed some power will take him through.

    I have tried the VOX function on 3 different radios, ranging from 60 to 220 dhs, and played with the sensitivity settings, but could not achieve reliable results. It only starts broadcasting when you start speaking, so half of your sentences will be lost. It works however quite good in office environment where you have less background noise. I have also tried the earpiece but again the sound quality is not super, and you need to push the button on the wire anyways to broadcast. For now i have attached a lanyard to my radio, and it hangs around my neck so it's easily accessible when needed.
