  1. I use ViewRanger it is easy to use and works with Android I have it in my Jeep's Android player console and it works perfectly I can follow and record all tracks and it gives me the direction I'm going. It's really good.
  2. Yes you need to also do the front too. You can't do only one side. The gear ratio determines how many times your driveshaft will have to rotate to spin the wheels once. So the theory is that when larger tires are installed, you have several things working against you: the diameter of the tire, rotational mass, rolling resistance, and the added weight of the tires. By regearing you will increase the amount of force that is being sent to the axle, this allows the Jeep to move the tires with less of a strain on the engine.
  3. The guys at the shop recommended 4.10 like the Rubicon or 4.56 I opted for 4.56. Since the stock is 3.21 I felt it wasn't enough torque specially climbing high dunes at lower speed. Let's try them out I have driven a friend's Rubicon and I honestly did not feel any difference.
  4. There is no diff lock on the sport version only in the Rubicon 😭. I already told them to change the bearings because some debris from the gears could have gotten inside and is better safe than sorry. My car is 77k km. It is very weird indeed I have tried to see if this is common for these cars but I haven't seen anything online that would indicate that. However the guys from the shop said they replace them all the time so seems it's common, maybe a design flaw? I would say the bigger tires might have had something to do with this. More mass to move the gears. Since they are already opening everything I also asked them to put a higher gear ratio I hope this would also help to get me more torque and spread more evenly the force from the axels
  5. 1. Not at all I don't even use the hand brake off-road. 2. I don't do that 3. Yes always
  6. I didn't hear noice at all. But it just wasn't the same off-road I could not crawl out of simple soft sand. The oil was fine. My best guess is that they overheated.
  7. Today I took my Jeep to the service, I noticed something was off during the drive. Turns out the spider gears are chipped. I'll have to take it easy for the next couple of weeks while the new gears settle. 😭
  8. So what's the use of a clean car that does not start with flat tires?
  9. The pedal commander or other similar products are very simple, it is just an adjustable potentiometer that adjusts the pedal position sensor, that's all it does, you just "feel" more power but in reality it wont change the horsepower at all. However if you are looking for a quicker response I would say go for it. Just keep in mind as I said it won't really add horsepower.
  10. This is actually how long will they take to recharge. Obviously the wall box is slower because its only 60 amp outlet as opposed to the 300 amps and 480V for the fast charger. They are everywhere across the UAE and in Dubai there are plenty so running out of battery is less likely. 11. WHAATT!!!!!?? OMG!!!!!! LOL I am having flashbacks reading this, my dad used to say the same thing. He was a mechanic for more than 50 years. I remember many cheap people came to his shop to ask for a quote, they complained about the price, then went with the cheaper option, then after some days they will have to come back to my dad to get it fixed, which by then the quote will be way more expensive than he originally quoted because not only he had to fix the original issue but the mess of the monkey too. We have a saying back home - "Lo barato sale caro" which would translate as Cheap is always expensive. If you want quality you need to pay accordingly. But maybe that is how I was raised. 🤔
  12. For the exhaust temperature you could add an EGT gauge and probe, the probe is very simple it is just a thermocouple connected to the gauge. I doubt you can do this via your ECU because of it being an older model. Even some newer vehicles have to be reprogrammed to understand this signal. It is just simpler to install a gauge. Installing this is not very difficult. I installed one of this in my Lancer EVO I have back home. Some people install one per cylinder, in your case one or two will be enough.
  13. I think you mean the cobra I have always preferred the Saleen over the Shelby. The Saleen has more hp than the Shelby.
  14. So that means you warmed up during all the drive? 😂 Nah I'm kidding you did great
  15. See attached full specs of the new Mustang Shelby GT500. What do you guys think? 2020-Shelby-GT500-Esourcebook.pdf
  16. Would recommend to put some dielectric grease on the battery terminals to prevent this issue from happening.
  17. I fully support this. Been doing morning drives during the summer, it doesn't get hot until around 10-11 am.
