Moreeb Dune / LIWA / International Festival
Alphin Aloor replied to Warbs's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
The festival is great! Even non-adventurous family members enjoy it. The competition is fairly easy to follow and quite dramatic, with cars flipping and blowing up and so on. You need to book weeks in advance if you want to camp in the official campsites with the facilities. Hotels become ridiculously expensive. -
Stumbled upon this product online: Garmin Powerswitch. It is a remote switch panel mounted close to your battery and controlled remotely. The killer feature for me is the fact that it can be controlled on Apple CarPlay / Android Auto - much more elegant than the switch panels from sPOD, Switchpros, Auxbean Has anyone used it here? Love to know more about practical experiences.

Yes, this is correct @Frederic and @Emanuel. I recently installed Apex and didn't foresee this complication. Now, I'm trying different converters and extenders to find a fix. I'm still looking. So far, it is annoying that i can't use the petrol pump inflators. I have a decent onboard setup, but the petrol pump is still easier. This one didn't work, FYI.

Retrieving your vehicle history in UAE

Any success using the RTA service? It takes me to a login page and a rta services menu. -
Hey everyone! 😊 I've been thinking about adding a winch to my Y61 Patrol and wanted to get some insights and advice from the community. Installation Tips: Any tips or tricks for installing a winch on a Y61 Patrol? How did you do it? Did you mod your bumper/bash plate? Electrical Power Requirements: I’ve heard that winches can significantly drain the vehicle's electrical system. What should I be aware of regarding power requirements and battery upgrades? Power-to-weight: Despite its reputation, the stock Y61 is slow! How did your winch installation affect performance? Usage and Maintenance: How often do you use your winch, and what maintenance routines do you follow to ensure it stays in top condition? Lessons Learned: For those who have already installed a winch, what are some lessons you learned the hard way that could save the rest of us some headaches? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences! Thanks in advance for the help! Cheers!

Hi - there seems to be a USB-C charging battery for the UV-5R. Has anyone been able to find it here in the UAE? Seems like a pretty useful upgrade https://baofengtech.com/product/bl-5/- 67 replies

Sorry, off-topic, but Very curious about this 360 camera - my straight reverse camera on the y61 itself is such a pain as there is no obvious center mounting location. Is it integrated into the pioneer system? Is it stock?

Benefits of tank in an onboard compressor
Alphin Aloor replied to Alphin Aloor's topic in General Discussions
@Davie Chasedoes the compressor shut off automatically when the tank fills up and the output is closed? This theoretically means that you can leave the compressor turned on all the time right? @Looper does this work with a TPMS inside the tyre? -
Benefits of tank in an onboard compressor
Alphin Aloor replied to Alphin Aloor's topic in General Discussions
I think @Davie Chasehas one. Please let me know your experience with the tank, -
After bashplates, infotainment and some lights on my y61, i'm moving to the next step in my modification journey - an onboard compressor. I actually have no issues with my dragon mart golden camel - using it for ~3 years now and it pumps faster than most petrol pumps. However, an onboard arb twin seems like a more integrated and cleaner solution long-term. I would like some advice on the benefits of having a tank connected to the compressor. is it faster? do you always leave it on? air on demand? where to position the tank and the compressor? Thanks
