Yes agreed, thanks so much @Islam Soliman and @Melenany, and all the team! Without your support, help and guidance I’d never have made it. Without a doubt, an amazing learning experience! See you next time I hope.

Hi @Amir Amiri, is yours a rebel 5th Gen? I have a 2021 model and Dodge told me this wasn’t possible. Any idea of the fuse numbers? Are they under the hood in the PDC? Thanks!

This is what worries me though @Gaurav…if I can’t disable it fully then I’ll always have to take it easy.
I’ll ask Dodge again about the airbag technology and also about the warranty, and will report back!

Having spoken with Dodge directly, it is impossible to disable the airbags. The fuses that the airbags use power other ECM parts and if you remove them it will stop the car functioning altogether. So I’ll just have to take the risk I guess

Amazing, so useful. Thanks @Daniel Rodas and @Frederic
From my research so far it seems that Dodge do not allow you to disable the airbags at all…even the passenger airbag as most other makes do. I’ll keep digging and will let you know what I come up with.

Hi folks
I’ve got a Ram Rebel+ and just starting to get into desert driving. However, one thing I’m struggling with is disabling the ABS/TC/ESP and airbags fully. The TC can be disabled with the switch in the cabin but it’s not ‘fully’ off.
I found a website that mentioned fuses f26 and f29 control the ABS/TC but nothing regarding airbags.
Does anyone know what fuses to pull to turn all these off?
Thanks!

Hi @nr51mes the 2 holes you see on the hitch receiver are not for towing or recoveries. You would need to get something like in the image below that can be connected to the hitch receiver. I have seen these available at ACE. Also when buying, check that it is rated for the weight of the vehicle it is being used on.
Sorted! Thanks for the tip. Rated 5000kg

Welcome to Carnity of-road club. And congrats on the new Ram Rebel, indeed a very capable pickup truck and a good choice you've made. Please make sure that your Ram has a minimum of 8 inches of ground clearance along with front and rear tow point or tow hooks, as few Ram with sport bumper lacks both of the above mandatory requirements.
From off-road gear requirements, you need to have a tire pressure gauge, deflator and compressor as a minimum. For your first drive walkie talkie (radio) will be provided to you by trip lead. From the second drive onward you will need all off-road gears mentioned as per offroad structure at different ranks.
Ok, so I have two front tow hooks, and the 8 inch clearance. However, at the rear I dont have dedicated tow hooks. I have the tow hitch, which has two holes in it which look like they are designed to take a shackle or similar. What would you suggest?
thanks

Hi, I am absolutely brand new to this - no prior experience whatsoever. I have a Dodge Ram Rebel+ 2021. Looking forward to learning some stuff, and hopefully doing this more often in future! From what I can tell, very little is required in the way of purchases for the first drive? Is it supplied? Or should I hustle to the store and pick up the essentials? thanks!
