  1. SUPER WOW info Salmanahmed, I have always had this frustrating question in my mind but I was never been so bold to ask in public. Thanks for the great info. Only thing I can think to add is that all company marketing jargons make things more expensive and they need to justify that additional 5 aed to do something with exploding graphics and crazy color packaging.
  2. Absolutely right guys this Pokemon Go Picachu is becoming real pain in the ass, and there should be some legal implications for such irresponsible road users. btw is it launched in UAE yet or people are still downloading by changing their location or with those with SDK files.....?
  3. I love the AC shut off option, better than anything. Just for the reference Sheikh Mohammed Mercedes G wagon always seen in 3rd or 4th lane, so those followers need to follow the leader properly.
  4. This is really nice and insane, I would love see it happen here as well in some remote areas. I think something more high class races happen somewhere in RAK in awafi area....!
  5. Sports car always loose value fast, and american spec looses very fast. That's why there is a big difference in GCC and US spec Camaro, Charger and Mustang. I am sure they must be some reason behind.
  6. I really love the first meme a lot, realy good one.
  7. For sure it's a case of greedy mechanic man, show it to other mechanic for second opinion or send to Al Nabooda Audi dealer and let them quote you for repair.
  8. HI All, as you know in a week time we will have long weekend of 5 days holiday including friday and saturday. Everytime I plan something it turn out to be a disaster of endless queues and waiting, so thi stime let me ask you guys, what you are plaaning and where do I go without any big fuss.
  9. Tried it's offline function last night and I absolutely loved it. Thanks RTA for the amazing app and thanks Carnity for the review.
  10. Very good explanation given by adil, which makes perfect sense as why companies kill the super successful but not profit making cars.
  11. Nice video, basically they are explaining why they are lazy to create something new for all cars since forever. lol.
  12. This is not stock tires and wheel, and guy has really a good taste to soup up the dying legend.
  13. As a first step, give them a call and explain and see what they say. I am sure they must be getting 100 calls a day like this and they must be having some set procedure to prove their point or record.
  14. almost4x4 = too much restrictions like a school kid emarat4x4 = majorly pakistanis club Arabian offroad = majorly Indians club dubai offroaders = asian and european mix
  15. I was just about to reply that apart from being dark you also need to check the viscosity of the oil and only change if its too thick, but MASTER taufiq has given some awesome insight on what is new learning for me as well. Love this, very educating man.
  16. Hi, Without more specific information on exactly what happens when you turn the key, this question can only be answered by asking some pertinent questions, so here goes: Did the problem start suddenly? If so, and given the age of the of the car, it is very likely that either the fuel pump, or the fuel pump relay failed. Relays can fail without warning, so have this checked out. Does the engine crank when you turn the key? If so, and given the age of the car, it is more than likely that the timing belt failed. If it has, the valves are not regulated and it won’t start. Does the engine sound different than before when it cranks? If it does, it is almost certain that the timing belt failed. Timing belts have finite service lives, and they MUST be replaced on or before the scheduled replacement mileage. Does the engine not crank at all? 1.) If you have a smart key, or a transponder in the key, replace the battery in the key. Run-down transponder batteries is a common cause of non-cranking issues. 2.) If the car’s battery had run down a few days before the non-starting issue started, it is entirely possible that the ECU had lost some of it’s “memory”. If this happens, the ECU can be reset, or in some cases reprogrammed by the dealer. 3.) If the engine does not crank, but the lights, wipers, interior fan etc, all work fine, the problem could involve the starter motor, or the starter motor wiring. If the lights on the dashboard dim when you try to crank the engine, the problem is definitely related to the starter motor. Given the age of the car, this is more than likely. 4.) If the dashboard lights don’t dim, there is likely to be an interruption in the power supply to the starter solenoid, or the solenoid may be defective. Again, given the age of the car, this is a distinct possibility. 5.) It is also possible that over time, the ground connections between the engine, body, and battery had deteriorated to the point where not sufficient current is available to power the starter motor. Check this by inspecting the ground connections for signs of overheating- the plastic insulation on the cable ends may appear black, scorched, of even partially melted. I hope this helps, but without specific information it is very difficult to supply specific solutions.
  17. Hi Danny, The type of symptoms you describe is almost always fuel related, and if the affected Explorer has a gasoline engine, the problem occurs when the fuel in the lines starts to boil, or vaporize, and especially if the fuel lines run close to particularly hot engine components. The problem is known as a “vapor lock”, and when it occurs, the pressure in the fuel system drops dramatically, which starves the injectors of fuel. The effect is as you describe- the engine just shuts off, but if the problem were related to the electrical system, there would be some sort of warning in the form of an illuminated warning light right before the engine shuts off. In these cases, the warning light, such as the CHECK ENGINE light will remain illuminated, even if the vehicle starts again. However, in the case of a vapor lock, there won’t be warning lights before the engine shuts off, but if the engine remains switched off for a few minutes, the fuel in the lines will cool down and re-condense into a liquid. This is why the Explorer started normally each time a few minutes after it shut off, and unless the fuel lines are insulated against excessive heat, the problem will occur again. I hope this helps.
  18. Hi Guarav, The formation of the powdery substance, which is either lead sulphate, or hydrated copper sulphate, is caused mainly by direct contact with the sulphuric acid component of electrolyte, or contact with the sulphurous gas that vents as the battery charges. In cases of direct contact with electrolyte, the seal around the lead post is most likely leaking, which is often the result of over tightening of the terminal clamp that opens up small leak paths through which electrolyte escapes. However, going by the picture in you post, I would rather blame the close proximity of the battery vent to the terminal. The yellow plastic part visible in the image is the vent hole, and being this close to the terminal, the venting gas is guaranteed to come into contact with the terminal. Copper, or copper alloy does not react with sulphuric acid in the absence of electricity, but here, there is a constant flow of current, hence the build-up. The remedy in this case would be to attach a length of plastic tubing to the battery vent to divert the sulphuric gas away from the battery, but remember that explosive hydrogen is also released during the charging process, so be sure to divert the gas to a point far away from possible sources of ignition. Hope this helps.
