Barry
Which “old” cars are still in production today? Heres a few I can think of, Lada Niva, started production in 1977, still available in many countries and largely unchanged. Spotted a couple around Dubai and was pretty surprised. Can only guess the owners are from the Soviet bloc. Peugeot 405. Started production in 1987 in Europe and ended in 1997. However, you can still go to Iran or Egypt and buy a brand new one. Hindustan Ambassador. Started production in 1958, still possible to buy a new one now in 2018. Morgan 4/4. The worlds longest running production vehicle, started in 1936. Land Cruiser 70. Started in 1984. In your local Al Futtaim today. Lotus 7. Started in 1957, still available today under the Caterham brand.
Allstar
Slight correction, as al futtaim doesnt have LC70, it's the omani dealer who sells and that too short one with 2 door and not this long, ambulance version. You should also add defender, mercedes g55, that has been there since forever without any major change
desertdude
Patrol, Range Rover, Land Cruiser, Corolla, Civic, Accord so on and so forth
Barry
@Allstar really? All those pickups come from Oman? I never knew that. @desertdudeI mean old models of cars. Not ones with the same name that have evolved.

G55 was around for only 9 years... Also, it got a facelift this year so I also think that doesn't count anymore!? 18 hours ago, Barry said: @Allstar really? All those pickups come from Oman? I never knew that. It's always fun to watch those pickups in large delivery trucks on road... There's probably like 10-12 in a truck and there could be 2-3 trucks together. Will snap a picture next time when I see one for this thread
hAwX
To add to the list, Maruti Suzuki Omni (1984-present) and Gypsy (1985-present) in India Both of them are very popular cars there and still in production. Gypsy in India is like the G class in UAE. also the Jimny!? though it got like a facelift recently HM Ambassador's production stopped in 2014 Edited July 25, 2018 by hAwX production years
