rojanfelix
Does anyone experienced hard steering on duster after 97K mileage?
Barry
Is it electric hydraulic or belt driven hydraulic? Check the basics first. Is there oil in the reservoir? If it’s belt driven, is the belt present and in good condition? If it’s electric, check the fuse and relay.
hAwX
car's steering getting a bit tougher is normal wear and tear, right? I can experience a clear difference when the car used to be new and as of now... @Barry in this case what all to look for to bring it back to a smooth and soft feel? Barry
Check what the oil is like. If it’s dirty, might be worth changing it. After that, you need to examine the pump and rack. Also worth having a look at the ball joints on the ends of the rack, sometimes the grease can come out if the boots split then they seize up.
