Morning Newbie Desert Drive - Lisaili to Muqab - Dubai - 25 May 2024

First time with Carnity Off-road Club:

• Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year.
• Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details.
• Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets.
• Advise if you don’t have a programmable radio and safety flag.

Drive Details

Level:  Newbie and above (all levels)

Meeting time: 6:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Meeting Point:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/4SHjXMF9BYnykHp48

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 10:00 AM

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE:

• This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 6 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Thank you for signing-up for the drive on Saturday morning in Lisaili.

Before the drive, please take a bit of time to check your car, remove any unnecessary or loose item from the passengers and trunk areas. Check your radio, make sure it is fully loaded, and programmed with the 10 Carnity radio frequencies.

I will indicate the convoy order tomorrow, by the end of the afternoon. If you change your plan, please let me know before that.

Thank you all for a great morning of fab driving. We had technical dunes to navigate, side sloping intro and ridge riding. And a few crests and stucks leading to shovelling and a tug!

@JeromeFJ delivered a masterclass and intro / refresher to the fundamentals of safe desert driving supplemented and ably supported by @Frederic

superb driving by all and a fab start to the weekend!
