This is a DCT Practice Drive, open to Team Dune Navigators only.

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Fewbie Plus and above
When: 2 November 2024, Saturday
Meeting time:  6:45 AM - Sharp

Approximate finish time: 11:00 AM
Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

RECOMENDED OFF-ROAD GEAR:

• Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge
• Compressor (MANDATORY)
• Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY)
• Off-road flag (MANDATORY)
• Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles
• First-aid kit
• Fire extinguisher

Excellent drive this morning. 

 

Lots of waypoints to hit, and lots of varied terrain to navigate, lake beds, mud, sabhka, tall dunes, METAL POLES.

 

team dune navigators handled it all with ease and poise even after a shredded sidewall meaning we had to get out the toolkits and do a wheel swap. 

 

No more dramas from there. Think we are all ready for Jerome to guide us through DCT next weekend 🙏
