Morning Fewbie Desert Drive - Welcoming Summer - Qudra - Dubai - 10 May 2025

DRIVE DESCRIPTION :   Lets welcome Summers ! Am sure when you look at the meeting time, you would have figured it out
Even though the greater rainfall of the latest few years has caused an explosion of vegetation, which has transformed parts of Dubai's deserts into gardens, there is an area, unexpectedly close to the city and to one of its most visited desert attractions - the Love Lakes, that has remained pristine and almost completely clean of shrubs and grasses. We'll "discover" this dune field, with its white sand, and will criss-cross it from top to bottom.  - PLEASE JOIN ONLY IF YOU CAN BE AT MEETING POINT ON TIME, ANYONE NOT AT MEETING POINT AT 5.30am WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE DRIVE.

Level:  Fewbie and above (all levels)

Meeting time:  05.30 AM

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face masks, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 8am

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

RECOMMENDED OFF-ROAD GEAR:

• Tire deflator & Tire pressure gauge
• Compressor (MANDATORY)
• Walkie-talkie radio (MANDATORY)
• Off-road flag (MANDATORY)
• Shovel, Tow Rope & 2 Shackles
• First-aid kit
• Fire extinguisher.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 12 PM.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

If you go from Abu Dhabi be advised. Past weekend the Al Quadra road from E14 was closed. Careful with that if going from Abu Dhabi . I  reach 15 min late last time and departed well within 1:45hr in advance

Dear all - Thanks to @Davie Smooth_Operator agreeing to lead the second convoy, you are all IN for a saturday drive , and we have kept a balance between both convoys. Meeting time and Place remains same ! You dont need to do anything, Davie will add you in his drive, if your name is in Second convoy per the list - This is not convoy order but just to let you know which convoy you are part of !

@DP1011 and all, i have added the drivers to my drive as per the attached list, @DP1011 you can now remove from your event. looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday

Dear @Frans M & @Mei ling  - Since we have 2 drops in Convoy 2, you are being moved to Convoy 2, to have right balance.  Hence I will remove you from this drive post, You dont need to do anything @Davie Smooth_Operator will add you manually to the other drive, and its confirmed place for you !  See you Satday as both the convoys will be meeting at same point, so See you then at 5.30 THanks .
