DRIVE DESCRIPTION

This will be a gentle overlanding / desert drive throughout the various terrains Sharjah, Umm al Quwain, and RAK has to offer. Bring your camera and let's explore together!

We request every member that joins this drive to go through the below information and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquettes and responsibilities.

First time with Carnity Off-road Club:

• Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year.
• Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details.
• Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets.
• Advise if you don’t have a programmable radio and safety flag.

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Absolute Newbie, Newbie and above

When:  21 Sept 2025, Sunday

Meeting time:  6:30 AM - Sharp (Without any exceptions)

Meeting Point: Batayeh Farm Track: https://goo.gl/maps/wVRWfBhKKidwhzCy5

Approximate finish time: 10:30 AM approx

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit and fire extinguisher.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

• This drive is limited to 12 cars only.
• If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist. Once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
• RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
• Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Hi Frederic, Hi Carnity Team,

I'm Thomas from Munich, Germany, living in Dubai since 2023 with my wife and daughter. Before that we stayed and worked in Ghana and Nigeria (West Africa). Here off-roading was a given with potholes bigger than my Landcruiser 😁 I'm super exited to join and looking forward to learn more, beign in the nature and have fun.

Good morning, all! Thanks for signing up for another scenic drive. With the winter inching closer, we will be having more of these drives the coming months, which will bring more adventures (think mountains and wadis). Tomorrow there will be no mountains, but at least nice dunes and some animals to be spotted. Most likely we will also visit the famous watch towers of Falaj Al Mualla. You can read a bit about that here:

This drive is also a good "reconnect" to the sand and to some old friends joining us back after a short break.

Please try to arrive 10-15mins earlier, which will give you ample time to deflate and set up your flag. That will also ensure we can do the briefing and head out onto the sand while the weather is still nice and cool.

We will be using Radio Channel 4: 446.08125Mhz during the drive.

I had an intermediate course booked tomorrow with another club which has just been cancelled at late notice. Me and my girlfriend have been looking forward to getting out for a few weeks, and I noticed this trip was happening. So I figured I would try my luck and see if it's possible to tag along.

Have about 10 drives under my belt, 3.8L Gold Pajero. Front/rear hook, radio and flag all sorted.

Appreciate it is very late notice, but I've added myself to the wait list in case it's possible to join.
