GauravSoni
DRIVE DESCRIPTION Dune Surfers! Not every battle in the dunes is about climbing high and charging hard. Sometimes, the real skill lies in moving quietly, steadily, and with precision — just like a submarine navigating deep waters. In this Skill Drive Series session, we take inspiration from "The Hunt for Red October" and focus on one of the most important off-road techniques: side sloping. As Captain Ramius said: “Most things in here don’t react well to bullets.” In the desert, most dunes don’t react well to brute force. Instead, they demand patience, control, and respect. Side sloping is the desert equivalent of running silent — holding your line on the face of a dune with calm control, steady throttle, and perfect balance. “A little revolution now and then is a healthy thing, don’t you think?” This time, the revolution is changing how you think about driving: less power, more finesse. It’s a skill that builds confidence, teaches respect for the terrain, and prepares you for more advanced drives ahead. The challenge (and the fun!) will be to master smooth entries, steady positioning, and graceful exits from dune faces — no jerky corrections, no panic moves — just controlled, confident gliding along the sand walls. Or in Ramius’ words: “Once more, we play our dangerous game… a game of desert and dunes.” we will start from the 2nd December cafe making our way eventually to the BIG RED!!! We will do a point - to - point straight line challenge drive during the drive as a secondary challenge! What to Expect Practicing safe and controlled side sloping on different dune sizes. Learning how to enter, hold, and exit a slope with stability. Building confidence in throttle, steering, and momentum control. Understanding recovery techniques in case of slide-outs or misalignment. This drive is designed as a fun, confidence-building session where patience and precision are the true skills — and the most important thing to bring is a cool head and steady hands.
