@Davie Smooth_Operator, its been an absolute privilege to drive behind in your red jeep over the years! Fondly remember my very 1st Carnity drive which was an absolute newbie drive with you and Islam in the "Black Beast"!!! All the best for the new adventure! The new owner will surely have a blast in that beautiful RED Jeep!!!

@Davie Smooth_Operator I have had only 2 drives with you but, I enjoyed it more than anything! Your passion for teaching the skills to others is unmatched.

I hope you and your family have a great future ahead and the next owner of this Jeep is going to be one lucky fella!

@Davie Smooth_Operator

It’s been awesome learning off-roading with you and joining so many drives under your marshalship. You’ve got a real gift for teaching and always made sure safety came first, while keeping things fun and easy-going.

Really sad to see you leave Dubai, but wishing you and your family all the very best in the next chapter. Let’s definitely stay in touch — would love to keep the stories flow. And don’t forget to visit us whenever you have time off or vacation!

All the very best.

Thanks @Mahesh_ it has been a pleasure watching you learn and improve into the awesome off-roader that you have become. For sure will keep in touch and may even rent a jeep next time I am in Dubai and join a drive 😜

Oh @Davie Smooth_Operator Davie...

As much as i am happy to see Red Ruby found a new pilot @Pavito Al, we are all sad that you are leaving and hanging your desert hat on the hook (as we say in belgium).

I fondly remember that first MC, where immediately  i noticed your hunger for understanding all concepts around off-roading; not just becoming a very skilled driver, but embracing the entire concept of finding peace and solitude from surfing on some of the most beautiful dunes this country has to offer, and using your extensive leadership qualities to mentor and teach others along the way. We did one more MC a bit later, and it was already quite impossible to get you stuck anywhere. We just drove to the Chimney and back and you just grinned and asked for more 😁

Your first club drive came shortly after under the capable mentorship of @Islam Soliman in May2021:

As you went along, the qualities you possess quickly came to the surface, and very soon we all felt we had a new up-and-coming star in our firmament to add to our existing Rockstar Carnity Marshals and Supporters. Bagging the Carnity DCT trophy was indeed another fantastic achievement that showed you were a force to reckon with: Not just by yourself but as a full team. We should have called you "Hayabusa Davie" like the peregrine Falcon (or the bike of course) :)

Alas, unfortunately, nothing in life lasts, and just like when we said goodbye to Islam or Emmanuel, we know and understand that there will be a time that either you or us will be sitting somewhere one day, watching the sunset and fondly remember that all of us are connected through the soil, sand, or trees, wherever we are. Dubai has been good for you, but if you are in Spain or wherever you will land, it will be the same sunset that we will both be watching!

Godspeed my friend. May we have many more blessed years watching the stars and dipping our feet in sands...
