Oh @Davie Smooth_Operator Davie...

As much as i am happy to see Red Ruby found a new pilot @Pavito Al, we are all sad that you are leaving and hanging your desert hat on the hook (as we say in belgium).

I fondly remember that first MC, where immediately  i noticed your hunger for understanding all concepts around off-roading; not just becoming a very skilled driver, but embracing the entire concept of finding peace and solitude from surfing on some of the most beautiful dunes this country has to offer, and using your extensive leadership qualities to mentor and teach others along the way. We did one more MC a bit later, and it was already quite impossible to get you stuck anywhere. We just drove to the Chimney and back and you just grinned and asked for more 😁

Your first club drive came shortly after under the capable mentorship of @Islam Soliman in May2021:

As you went along, the qualities you possess quickly came to the surface, and very soon we all felt we had a new up-and-coming star in our firmament to add to our existing Rockstar Carnity Marshals and Supporters. Bagging the Carnity DCT trophy was indeed another fantastic achievement that showed you were a force to reckon with: Not just by yourself but as a full team. We should have called you "Hayabusa Davie" like the peregrine Falcon (or the bike of course) :)

Alas, unfortunately, nothing in life lasts, and just like when we said goodbye to Islam or Emmanuel, we know and understand that there will be a time that either you or us will be sitting somewhere one day, watching the sunset and fondly remember that all of us are connected through the soil, sand, or trees, wherever we are. Dubai has been good for you, but if you are in Spain or wherever you will land, it will be the same sunset that we will both be watching!

Godspeed my friend. May we have many more blessed years watching the stars and dipping our feet in sands...

@Frederic I actually had a Hyabusa when i was in the UK rode it for 2 years and loved it :)

Indeed an amazing journey @Davie Smooth_Operator I am sure you are carrying along loads of memories from your time flying across the UAE dunes and leaving your marks everywhere. If my memory serves me well I think you are one of the few Carnity members I drove the most with and I personally enjoyed always having you on my convoys but unfortunately didn’t have plenty of time later on to enjoy being in yours.

Happy that the red legend found its new partner and I am sure he will enjoy it for years to come and build as much memories as she had with you.

All the best buddy in your journey and hopefully we get to meet sometime soon on the sand.

@Davie Smooth_Operator

Though we didn’t share many drives, it’s been a pleasure to be part of your convoys. Your off-roading spirit shines through brightly!

All the best with the move and the road ahead—may it be smooth tracks and good company, wherever you land buddy.

Hope our paths cross again!”

As @Davie Smooth_Operator embarks on a new chapter abroad, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation for the time we've shared on the sands.

From the early days of your journey as an Advisor to the moment you stepped up as a Drive Lead, it's been an absolute pleasure driving alongside you. I’ve had the honor of being your second lead on many of your drives, and witnessing your growth, leadership, and calm confidence behind the wheel has been inspiring.

Your dedication and passion for off-roading have left a lasting mark on the Carnity family. You’ve led with heart, taught with patience, and driven with skill — always putting safety and camaraderie first. Whether it was navigating tricky dunes or sharing a laugh at the end of a long drive, your presence made every trip more memorable.

Though the desert will miss your tracks, your legacy will continue to ripple through the club. Wishing you all the best in your new adventure abroad — may it be filled with success, happiness, and maybe even a few new trails to explore.

Until we meet again, brother — keep the wheels spinning and the spirit high.
