JeromeFJ
Good morning @Mark B @Ash S. @Herman G @Dinesh Kumar A @Gary F Thank you for signing up for the drive on tomorrow morning in Sweihan. You can expect a well paced drive, with high dunes and soft sand. It will be FB level, but we will have some high climbs, long ridges, and many opportunities to push the throttle. With the height of the dunes, and the higher speed we may have, you will have to be totally focused on your driving, and avoid fighting the gravity in any situation. In preparation for the drive, please check your car and be sure it is fit for a long desert drive. Remove unnecessary items from the trunk and rear seats area, and secure properly any loose item. We still have a few slots available, late joiners are welcome ! I will indicate the convoy order by the end of the day. Stay tuned !

JeromeFJ
Thank you all for joining the drive this morning. I appreciate everyone being on time and motivated for an early start. The initial section on the Sweihan side, while containing many tracks, still provided good practice for tackling high dunes. The long ridges that followed were enjoyable, though we ended up running in parallel convoys across the dune lines. After our break, @Mark B took the lead with impressive commitment. He successfully increased the pace, navigating us through the large open dunes toward Nagra for some climbs and side slopes. We continued East, skillfully avoiding bushes, almost reaching the exit track. Mark stepped up the level with a great selection of lines, and everyone followed with excellent focus and concentration. Well done, @Mark B, on leading your first full convoy! Since we still had some time, we swapped roles again and went back in, crossing the sabkha to the next cordon of dunes where we finally found some beautiful virgin sand. A quick dive into the Ghafeteen Bowl and a relaxing cruise through the open dunes provided a perfect conclusion to the drive. Special thanks to @Gary F for expertly handling the sweep position. @Ash S.., @Herman G., and @Dinesh Kumar A you have all very well driven. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I look forward to driving with you all again soon. 4
