Adjustable Upper Control Arms

Hi All,

I have 2013 Ford Expedition that i lifted with 3 inch front kit and added Bilstein Shock Assemblies. Unfortunately, the Upper Control Arms (UCA) Touches the coil bracket when the car is in the air (not the best set up when driving in the desert). 

Does anyone have any experience with replacing the stock OEM Upper Control Arms (UCA)? Any recommendations for Brands or Garages that can help me?

Hi @Ammar Naji how was the lift achieved in the front? With a spacer kit?

Hi @Frederic I used ReadyLift 3 Inch front and 2 Inch Rear SST Spacer lift Kit. Was hoping to get heads up from the Mechanic before he did the job not afterwards.

Hope you know a garage that deals with 2013 Ford Expeditions.

9:25 into the video you can see the arm hitting the spring as you described as well.

I think this describes the exact phenomenon you are facing.  If so, my recommendation is to approach a professional off-road workshop that specializes in suspensions and have a sitdown with them to understand what you want, what they can offer you, and for which budget,

If the spacers were installed by some other shop, you can take it back there and ask your money back, as they done have a shitty job it seems.

Hi @Frederic the video summaries the situation very well. Now do you know from your network any professional Garage that works with American Car? As you can tell, not many expeditions out there get modified. So it would be awesome if you can guide me or ask around.

Unfortunately i do not know any specific shops that focus on American trucks only. Perhaps @Nathan @Beide Workuand some other F150 owners can chime in.

If i am not mistaken, expedition is based on the F150 platform or at least shares many technical items. I understand you want to look for a specific "american car" shop, but my recommendation would be to visit an off-road suspension shop, and in the meantime do some research on the American forums to see which components they recommend.

As you point out, there are no US Truck specific workshops. 
 

Almost all of the work done on mine has been done by Machinehead 4x4 - although actually the suspension was done by Titan Performance. They changed my upper arms when fitting the Kings. 
 

In this case however, I would approach Rami Automotive, they are most likely going to be the easiest option. They know ‘American vehicles’ well, albeit it Jeeps mainly. But they were helpful with the f150 also.

Thanks I approached both Titan and Ramy Auto and they don't seem to be familiar with UCA works for expedition. I will try today with Mechanichead and Torc.

Yes TORC is a great idea, they do a lot with RAM Trucks

If im not too late to this, you can check Heavy Duty Garage in Al Qouz. They're specialized in offroad car and American trucks. The guys there are really knowledgeable and good

 

Other options are Titan performance and Iron man they're also really good, all of these are close to each other in AL Qouz
