DRIVE DESCRIPTION-WHAT TO EXPECT

Join us for a gentle and short overlanding desert drive with and enjoy the evening sunset near one of the Al Qudra Lakes!

 

Starting from 5PM we will meet and deflate, and head out together on some gentle dunes. The pace will be relaxing and entertaining for everyone. By 7PM we will end the drive nearby the one lakes and take out our chairs to enjoy the sunset. You can also then re-inflate at this same spot and exit whenever you like.

⚠️IMPORTANT-PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND COMPLY:

All participants must review and follow the club guidelines below:

🚙 JOINING OUR CLUB FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Please share a small introduction and provide the following details:

  • Vehicle Make, Model, Color, and Year
  • Any prior off-road experience (if applicable).
  • Confirmation of front and rear tow hooks / recovery points
  • Confirmation you have a programmable radio and safety flag.
  • 🎥 MUST WATCH BELOW: Newbie Video Briefing (mandatory)
 
 
🕖 DRIVE DETAILS
 

🚗VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Any proper 4x4 vehicle. If in doubt, please mention on the drive topic.
  • Front and rear tow hooks / recovery points.
  • 8–10 inches minimum ground clearance

🎒 WHAT TO BRING

  • refreshments, some snacks you'd like to share, and chairs for yourself and your passengers.

🧰 OFFROAD GEARS

  • Tire deflator and Tire pressure gauge.
  • Air compressor.
  • A programmable Walkie-talkie radio.
  • Off-road safety flag.
  • A proper shovel.
  • First-aid kit and Fire extinguisher.

 RSVP

  • Confirm your attendance by clicking on "GOING" in the Calendar Event. Your name will appear on the RSVP list.
  • If the RSVP is full, add yourself to the waitlist. As soon as a spot becomes available you will be moved automatically to the RSVP list.
  • The RSVP closes one day prior to the drive
  • Latecomers will be turned back (no exceptions)
  • No RSVP = No Drive
  • Please withdraw your RSVP if plans change
  • Repeated no-shows may result in 1-month suspension

Some pointers for this evening:

1. At the starting point you can drive just a little bit further onto the gatch track and line up on the right side behind each other to deflate your tires. 

2. We will be using Channel 10: 446.231Mhz

3. Please try to arrive by 16.45PM so you have some time to deflate your tires and set up your flag.

The aim is to arrive at one of the Al Qudra lakes by 7pm or little bit earlier, so please bring a chair so we can have a sitdown all together. Bring your camera along as well!

The exit point from that lake is very easy. We will be only around 200m from the road, so you can exit anytime you like.

Thank you everyone for the wonderful drive. The relaxed pace, beautiful desert scenery, and stunning sunset by Al Qudra Lake made for a truly enjoyable experience. The friendly atmosphere made the evening even more memorable.

I really appreciate the effort and initiative made by @Frederic and look forward to joining more drives in the future. Thank you to everyone for making it such a great one!
