If the engine oil is below the minimum level mark, it would be safer to top up with any other brand of oil as long as its the same spec. And if you are near your scheduled service, to do the oil change a bit more earlier than usual.

Yeah thats like what flat earthers says we see the world is plane and level so it must be flat and not a globe. Try a simple experiment, drive at 40 or 50 and then put your hand out of the window, with your palm facing the the wind and then flatten it out parallel to the ground. Now how much more effort was required to keep your palm open into the wind compared to when you leveled it out. That my friend is called drag and it takes a lot of power to move a brick through the air even at low speeds than something slick and slippery. You think car manufacturers are stupid to have let go nice sharp lines and edges and turned everything into a curvy egg to meet MPG and emission regulations !!! LPG is a good option. In my country where petrol sometimes costs 8 dhs per litre, a lot of people who can’t afford to run a v8 convert to LPG. You automatically increase your octane rating to 100+ so no more issues with pinking/pre detonation ie you can modify your engine to make more horsepower easily without worrying about melting pistons or bending rods. HUGE TURBOS LPG burns cooler so you have less overheating problems If you are thinking about buying a car with a LPG conversion, as long as the conversion has been done properly, it’s nothing to worry about. Extra horsepower is negligible unless you are planning mods that increase your compression ratio. But if it’s something to save money on MPG, go ahead

Not having the alignment specifications in the system is a cop out. Stick the lasers on, google the toe out, toe in, camber etc specs for the car and adjust to suit. When I worked in a restoration company we used to align stuff with old school sticks and bubbles and never had an issue. The problem is these guys don’t know what they are doing, the just know how to use the computer. There’s a difference in doing and understanding.

Old Yaris is an awesome car. I got one for one of my old customers that just started driving and outside of regular servicing, the only thing it needed in 5 years was a set of front drop links.

In my 2014 Accord, after I cross the speed of about 40 kmph, there is a noise which comes from the front side of the car. It sounds like a rumbling noise and it becomes a continuous noise as the speed increases. The noise stops when I immediately leave the accelerator and starts as soon as I again start accelerating. Tried this at various speeds and the results are the same I have recently changed the transmission fluid and filter. Shifting is smooth with no issues. Tyres have been recently changed as well. This noise has been there for a while, probably 60,000 km. But it's just getting irritating now. Need help in trying to diagnose the source of the noise. Thanks

Can i mix different engine oil brand for top? I got my car service with Enoc with some gold or premium something oil, now im in abu dhabhi and need a oil top maybe half liter, can i use adnoc lube oil with enoc brand or should i go back to dubai to buy same enoc brand. of course i will use same spec oil as mentioned by kia and as used by enoc guys in last service sticker, thanks guys urgent help is nice.

It’s not recommended but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do if it gets you out of trouble. My car is leaking oil from everywhere oil can leak from and I just top it up every week with whatever half empty jar is closest. I think there’s even some motorcycle oil in the engine now. But, I’m scrapping the car in a couple of months so I don’t care any more. Wouldn’t do it on a car I’m planning to keep though. Take from that what you will.

Although mixing is not advisable for all the various reasons mentioned above, but if you are topping up then stick to same quality and spec you should be OK. By quality mean, if you got ENOC most expensive oil, then pick same for Adnoc and not the cheapest one. Reason is most oil companies uses the best chemical additives in their flagship product and they should be at par with industry standard as far as oil spec goes. I use to have this trouble with my Cayenne Turbo as being a turbo car it needed 1 liter every 1500 km and I use to top up with ENOC fully synthetic "green" oil for 48 dhs/liter. Never had any issue with unusual engine noise or temperature. If this ENOC and ADNOC oil fusion works for you, do update here as it seems very interesting question to me.

Thank you all for speedy replies, im not even half life done on this enoc oil so if I add adnoc lube oil will I waste the whole oil remaining life? Then I should better drive 100 kms to get enoc oil, what do you suggest?

Oil being same spec still different brands have different chemical compositions If you are so forced the you can't find the same thing then top it up but change the whole oil as you reach the place where you can get your oil brand...

Nissans have made notoriously shit engines especially those big 400 engines their vti sensors fookup then their high pressure mechanical pump also makes such problem and rarely the bcm and pcm also makes such problems best way is to hook up and view live data you might stumble upon the culprit its such a shame that it has so much power yet very fragile we fixed quite many...

know few people who used the Dubai police app and they were also done in about 10-15 minutes. Possibly, it was a glitch the time it was not working.

Just to eliminate the most common cause first, jack up the vehicle front end and shake front tires sideways and up and down to see if there is a play. If they have a play its wheel bearing noise, get it changed. If no play spotted then rotate the tires with one hand and hold the suspension spring with another, if you feel vibration in springs it means wheel bearing is on its way out. Second doubt is drive line, start with U-joint as a first guess. Inspect the u-joint, shake them nicely to see if any play, if they have grease nipples, then put some grease first and test again. Gear is probably the last bet, but knowing Honda notorious gear reputation, can't rule out that. Will let more techy boys shine their wisdom now.

The warranty is valid only if the service is done with the dealer. I am the third owner and the service has been done outside. Also, I have exceeded the 120,000 km warranty mileage.

I have attached the video. The noise is clearly audible once the speed reaches 40 kmph (at approx 00:12 on the video). I release the gas once the car reaches 80 kmph and you will notice the noise has stopped. And when I start to accelerate the noise starts. I am hunting for a used car and i came across a deal where the car has been running in CNG. I need expert advice "Does CNG reduces the engine life" Vehicle: Nissan Xterra 2009 Model with 225000km on board. History not know whether it is used all the said kilometers with CNG or part of that. CNG kit is not included in the deal and my usage will be fuel and for off-roading to the extreme level.

From the OP, my money is on the gearbox. Honda input shaft bearings are notoriously weak and can whine on acceleration. I don’t think it’s wheel bearings. A bad wheel bearing tends to be constantly noisy once you hit a certain speed, wether you’re accelerating or braking.

It is the gear had inspected the front end fully last year if you put it in neutral then the sound becomes very faint and when in drive then the sound is clear....

We had a boxy 86 Corolla it gave 550 to 600 on a tank later on we had a 93 Corolla more streamlined it also gave 550 to 600 now I have a more curvy lancer that to spits the same 550 to 600 on a tank until it's rings wore out lately it's giving 350 to 450 on a tank so boxy or curvy it shouldn't matter more the 50 km per tank

look for any good Japanese car then you wont have to spend 250 per spark plug for fiat which is not available anywhere except al ghandi or a 1200 dhs rear bumper of mini ps : get him or her a tercel or echo you wont be sorry

If the car is GCC and has a full service history, then owner need to put a strong foot down and ask Nissan to diagnose and fix it, as they simply can't say "I Don't Know". Ask them to give this "I Don't Know" in writing first. Then explore consumer rights option first, and if needed write a nice email to Nissan Japan for seeking help. With your present story, you will very easily get ripped off outside and waste ton of money and time for as simple as cam position sensor replacement.

How I wish it was mine. 1 Day for sure. Not my ride its my Bosses car. Bhai he took it Nissan Arabian Motor. Its GCC model. it was beautiful ride now its 157K now just having this problem. some time it can go several Kms before switching off other time wont even go 2 km. Service only in Nissan . Full history. Engine is V8 but doesn't seem to give so that much power. OK

Well if the guy doesn't have the machine, then that's the most common excuse. Find a shop who have Hunter or any other good lazer alignment system and let them advise you this to buy this 100%

Unfortunately the old P38 is a body on ladder frame chassis with solid axels front and rear with no camber adjustments front or rear. But its worth to have to alignment and toe in and out checked. From the workshop manual here are the factory specs If everything checks out then you have a bent front axel and diff tube! Typical problem with patrols and jeeps who jump them alot in the desert LOL I'm calling this condition Ajmanitis !!!

Could be anything driveline related. From bearings to CV joints. Get it checked out.

Check break pads. Else check belts if worn out or need replacements. I had this issue with my camry. small stone struck into the pad when tire was removed and the mechanic tried to check the pad, stone came out.

150-200 dhs, depending on your bargaining skill as it might starts from 400 and go down slowly.
