I think @Frederic and @Emmanuel are being too kind with their words. Truth is, i was not in my element on this day (for some reason which i am still trying to figure out). I kept making elementary mistakes due to which i had a couple of stucks which just goes to showing that I still have a long way to go before i get really good at this stuff. The first hour or so was quite smooth as the 3 of us were moving along quite well but then I had this nasty stuck where i was on an incline. At this point, @Emmanuel and @Frederic were both giving me guidance on recovery and just out of the blue, to make things worse, i get a 'check engine' warning and my throttle cuts off Got the batteries disconnected and reconnected and we were back on track but after this particular incident, things werent going my way as i kept getting stuck every now and then. @Frederic said it was maybe the muddy sand, @Emmanuel said, its perhaps the high tire pressure, but I know that i was hesitating a bit with the gas. Although, I am no stranger to intermediate drives, I know the only way for me to get comfy in this level is to keep driving in this level frequently and eventually I will get there. I want to give a big shout out to @Frederic and @Emmanuel, thank you guys for your guidance and patience with me.

Coming back to the topic Tesla Cybertruck is a PICKUP TRUCK, meant for Picking up load, tow things, long haul purpose (unlike UAE) and definitely not meant for dune bashing, but just an offroad drive to get where they want to go. Offroad and dune bashing is totally two different things. No pickup truck is ideal for dune bashing unless driven by @Asif Hussain

Well done @Shamil acceptance and self realization is the first step to success. As far as you have realized what was missing you can work on that area in the future drives. Every driver has some good and bad days in offroading, so don't get hung up on any specific mishap, it's ok. Probably you were just little hesitant because of check engine light issue. Research on this issue and get permanent closure on this so that you can drive and enjoy at ease. Secondly every driver when move to higher level require few drives to get soak in with the new challenges, pace and quick decision making skills etc. so it's fine, give yourself couple of intermediate drives and you will be fine.

Tesla Cybertruck launched yesterday in the category of all electric pick up truck. Very weird and different design, seems to disturb initially but eventually it will grow on you (I think). What do you guys think of design..........? Single Motor: $39,900 - 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 sec with max speed at 110 mph Dual Motor: $49,900 - 0- 60 mph in 4.5 sec with max speed at 120 mph Tri Motor: $69,900 - 0- 60 mph in 2.9 sec with max speed at 130 mph All Cybertrucks have an adjustable air suspension that can be raised or lowered on the fly and provides up to 16 inches of ground clearance. Add that to its 35-degree approach and 28-degree departure angles and the Tesla pickup could prove to be a formidable off-road machine. The Cybertruck measures 231.7 inches long, 79.9 inches wide, and 75.0 inches tall. It features a 6.5-foot cargo bed that has 100 cubic feet of volume. Musk says that bed can hold up to 3500 pounds of payload on every version, and the strongest model can tow 14,000 pounds. Figures seems really impressive to beat the best in competition from pricing, dimensions, performance, capability etc.

Finally an SUV that has been tastefully design with beefy looks, sporty heart and great road presence. I know what others might jump on saying oh its same as DB11, but that at least runs the legacy and looks good too than just swollen balloon or copy cat versions we have seen lately. Design department 10/10. Detailing 8/10 Exhaust 11/10

LWB Jeeps have always been pathetic. I came to that conclusion when a well know automotive and off road journalist joined us for a drive in the then newly launched 4dr unlimited Later a good buddy also bought one and sold it in less than a year because of terrible off road performance.

Im looking forward to see this on the sand. I was disappointed when I saw the Gladiator out there. I had to recover them many times. That long wheel base is awful.

Now the people creativity comes in play to render however they like. Thanks @Atif for sharing. @desertdude I just shared this news and my viewpoints of Tesla Cybertruck - All Electric Pickup Truck, best things I like (those 5 points), but I am still not sold on EV idea all together, until they become viable. All those points I like can be implemented in any Petrol trucks / suv too.

Just a reminder

This guy known for doing things differently and I like the most in this truck: 1) Paintless, dent and scratches proof body, why others aren't thinking same way. 2) Inbuilt ramp for quad is simply genius. 3) Independent control suspension height. 4) Design is totally unique from today sheeps world. Not sure I like this yet, as I feel some minor detailing are still missing, but overall different design is great. 5) I dont care about bullet proof glass, instead I prefer breakable and removable glass for escaping from emergencies especially offroad related accidents or fire scenarios.

@Amit0103 though you are a quiet person but surely know how to express in words. Well done. Regarding pics and videos, we are open group and are always willing to learn. So please feel to post them on the gallery. They would serve as a nice memory as well.

Team ! let me start with a BIG thank you to all of you ! this was my 2nd new bee trip this Friday and the first one as a driver- the last one – I was a silent spectator and an accompanied driver with @Navinchandar – thanks to him that I gathered the courage to get my car (without the insurance- it should have) – the excitement and the energy I felt in the first gathering was more enough to get me going and wake up this Friday for the drive ! I would like to share my experience as a new comer and my reflections on my learnings and observations from the day- Warmth and Friendly Welcome:- this group has tremendous warmth and welcome and not even a single person I met (first time and this time) who is not welcoming and not an amazing support to the new members ! so guys – 3 cheers to all of you for being so good ! @Rahimdad - that big hug is surely a big warm welcome ;) Amazing patience from all other seniors for the briefing and waiting it to finish for the new bee:- I would like to highlight this point really- as I saw how the whole group listening to the detailed briefing to me given by @Srikumarand the expert comments from everyone- till they all felt that I have been briefed extensively well and was mentally ready for the first drive with them. Small and important tips from seniors and @Atif bhai – on 2nd lead – this was informative as I learnt that though the 1st commander and his leads are important in the convoy- its also important for everyone to keep an eye on the 2nd lead and they shared the right reasons for the same – which made perfect sense for a new bee like me ! Right sequence of the convoy- to ‘protect’ the new bee – The sequence of the convoy was strategically placed – keeping in mind – me and my car are protected and are covered from any possible danger as the first time driver- I was placed at the 3rd position just after @dri and @atif bhai and was followed by the most experienced person in the group @Rahimdad – thanks to all of you for making me feel so safe and protected from the very start ! really appreciate ! Amazing leadership – for @Srikumar and @Rahimdad – Guys- I am sure you know this and have noticed but these 2 gentleman are amazing leaders and gives you goosebumps with everything they do ! from planning to being there for you and from engagement to helping you out in any situation and from guiding and taking the first risk on themselves and encouraging you to do your best and push yourself and the limits we have in our mind and making us believe- “we can do it” – big applause to both of you and others too ! Things to note and learn from @Srikumar- Looking at the new routes which are full of fun and adrenaline rush Keeping an eye on the new bee - he actually was driving as a lead- and making sure i 'follow the tracks in the right way' Keeping an eye on the ‘other adventurous groups’ that may be a potential disruptor on our way! giving a heads up warning to all of us Driving himself a manual along with talking on the radio! Wow ! what an amazing coordination and leadership skills – hawk eyes ! @Rahimdad – Thanks for taking us to the next spots ‘the big red’ and not letting me drive right now - really appreciate- It was amazing to learn about the start of the journey and how did this group came to this point – I really enjoyed learning the history of carnity and the group’s accomplishments ! Your insights and amazing tips – learnt a lot from you in that an hour ! first hand experience of sitting beside a legendary driver – priceless !! Playing and also keeping an eye on everyone- Making sure everyone is with the convoy and well taken care of People do got stuck and everyone came over to help each other ! We played and some of us played more and extra ;) and when we got stuck – even in less than a few minutes- we saw people coming and helping you out to take you out of the situations- saw how to use a shovel ;) and how do we tow away a car- just saw and did not participate as I really didn’t know what to do in those situations ! but next time- if need be- I will ! Breakfast !- another best part- @Atif bhai – getting the ‘karark chai’ for everyone ! that early morning ! hats off ! that was super needed during the break And yes no one can forget the aaloo paranthas and the love behind and how its been served ! thanks @Rahimdad – Plus super good snacks from everyone else, the nutrella roles- thanks ! Stories over chai’s and snacks -Also @mert – thanks for sharing your experience in bumping up with me and @navin in our office and marking you during your serious presentation ;) it was pleasantly surprising to see and meet you 3rd time in less than a week ;) a small world for sure And yes, to all their contributions and sharing more about different markets in Sharjah and where to find what ! True but the integrity remains. There have been lots of discussions going on about this particular event. It seems that even most bulletproof windows, like the ones being used on high-speed trains can break in a similar way, but the window remains intact.

I dont care about bulletproof glass but it is a shame that it break in front of everyone.

I totally agree, the pentastar V6 can barely keep the regular Wrangler rolling adding another extra half car on it totally kills it. Usually a car is designed to be a lwb with a matching engine and when same unit is put in a lighter swb it increases performance. Jeep went the opposite direction. An designed for a swb they used the same in lwb and lwb pick up so obviously it's going to suffer

Thanks @Gaurav bhai for your comforting words. With regards to the check engine light situation, it is a bit of a head scratcher and maybe you or any one of the other experts here can guide me on what to do. It seems, when the error sign comes up, if a diagnosis is done on the spot using one of those big OBD scanners(since the small ones dont work with xterras), one would be able to find out what the exact problem is. But however, I usually disconnect and reconnect the battery, and the car is back to normal and that process even resets the error code. Doing an OBD scan after this will not show anything since the code is rest. The next time this issue will happen randomly maybe after a few weeks only, so its not even a frequently occurring issue. I have spoken to a few mechanics with regards to this issue and they say, the next time it happens, i should put the car on a recovery truck and bring it straight to the garage since the error code will still show up and they can trouble shoot it accordingly. I wanted to know if there is anything else i can do besides this to diagnose the problem correctly.

Congrats Frederic on your first wonderful lead, 64 kms in 2 hours seems rocket pocket dancing a lot with velociraptor. Shamil kudos to you for keeping pace between the two and seems you are almost there with Intermediate drive level challenges and pace, keep it up.

That’s why I was impressed and proud of @Mohammed Yaasir who drove his own wrecked car back to the road and kept calm at all times! He didn’t even get stuck while driving up and down Maliha dunes 😁

Should be depending on the type of fine. For smaller fines like parking tickets this system is a great idea. For serious offenses like speeding way beyond the legal limit one should be punished hard, and no discount should make up for the risk you’ve brought upon others.
