Celebrate New Year's Eve to welcome 2020 From Dubai desert with best music, company and fireworks. Venue is best position to enjoy "distant" fireworks from 3 different landmarks without the crowd and traffic jam. Venue will be set up with light, sound system and bonfire/bbq (in container/fire plate). Enclosed kid's play area (big camp) will be set up in advance so that families can enjoy and kids will also have some entertainment (of course under supervision). We will also have karaoke, so if anyone has flair for singing or playing any musical instruments please bring it along on so we can all enjoy the live performance through the night. No. 10 Trail Blazer is in my family since 2016 and very trouble free car tbh. Even with 130K kms we manage to put 20K kms with just regular service only in last 3 years. Now at 150k we need to change few things under 2k - bushes, boots and mounts etc. regular service items. 4.2 liter engine with 270 hp is great for highway giving around 14-15 l/100 consistently with 50:50 mix driving.

Today, with a whole lot of other important lessons we found out that 'popping out' to the desert and 'popping out' in the desert are two completely different things. Our intrepid crew was not prepared to give up without a fight, however when it comes to popping, there are just some things that won't however hard you try. Roshan, thanks for giving us the chance to see an unusual and very technical recovery. The other key note of the day us that while there might only be one letter difference between newbie and fewbie the promotion to more complex, technical challenges brought a whole new world of fun and a few frustrations. Once again, excellent (and truly restrained) leadership from Rahimdad. I am sure Srikumar enjoyed sweeping up today ... allowing him to be a little less restrained than usual. Emmanuel, ably assisted by maman, kept us on track and very healthily fed. An asset to any drive. Shamil, it's a real shame you make all your passengers feel sick . I'll be your passenger any time. Jeepie ... thanks for returning the favour of last week and allowing us to dig you out this week. (Photos attached). Bottom line, this little club is simply the most supportive encouraging and effective way to learn how to navigate the dunes, while having fun and meeting wonderful warm welcoming people. Thanks once again.

Suggestion : Can't there be one mega omni promotions thread, reason being I have the latest activity thread bookmarked or the landing page and after a few drives the entire page is filled with these promotion threads ( some members I've never even seen a post from, not even in a thread about them ) and in all of this other threads get buried or pushed down making you miss them. Already there is a dearth of content here and this just makes one miss other threads. Or maybe even just one new thread mentioning all the promoted. Right now it just looks like the forum got spammed every couple of weeks. Suggestion two : Why not have a promotion ceremony after the drive or the next drive, this I'm sure this will be more memorable to the person than a thread, you can take pictures and post them in the "mega promotion thread" or ONE new thread or gallery *cue RD and Gaurav with a very serious post why I'm an A.hole for doing this and why promotions cannot be handled any other way than they are done currently!!!
