  1. Thank you all for joining the drive, it was nice meeting new members, and glad to see all doing very well. As NB drive, to exit without using shovels and ropes is big achievement. All managed to go through the terrain without issues to mention. Few refusals, and nothing more…. Well done every one. @Shiju Raju did very well as first drive, only one situation, which i am sure next time, you will manage. As mentioned in the briefing, do not fight gravity. Car was sliding down the dune, you should have immediately went down, much more safe and easy to manage after that. Well done. @Yahir Marban and @Srilakshman Karthikeyan no comment, you did very well, keep it up. @Vishnu Ramankutty @Shiboo Kr @Faraz94 @Abhilash Kottakkal @DTG @Ben Williams @CasperPL nice meeting you, great job, i am sure you will be going threw off-road journey successfully. @Theo09 as usual, great SL, always ready for surprises. Big thanks for @Looper and @Benjamin for joining and supporting the drive. Your presence, gave more confidence to “keep moving” and “yalla push” Look forward to see you again friends in sand

  2. Drive Report It has been for a while since I led an intermediate drive which was in Sweihan feb 2023 and in the night that was last summer in Qudra if I remember properly. Tonight it was something else. I and @Joji varghese arrived one after the other at the meeting point to see everybody flagged up and deflated ready to go . After quick brief we moved fast . In the second lead was @Rajiv Sam who throughout the drive did the job more than perfect. Thanks my friend and hope you sort out the tire leak soon . In the third place came @topgear our true brave heart who decided to push his skills and passion forward as it was his first intermediate drive. Very well done 👍. After the two FJC and in the 4th place the red Xterra @Joji varghese came who just did more than great 👍. In number five our last min joiner a friend whom I haven’t seen for a while was @Waqas Parvez really pleasure catching up bro . Thanks for tugging me and Davie off the crest 🙏 . In front of the sweep in number 6 was @Benjamin who spared no effort to help and assist whenever that was needed.well driven too this night 👍 . At the back as usual came the the lead in reverse @Davie Chase who kept the convoy together not slipping anyone behind . Thanks for the help my friend . almost every one including myself got his share from one refusal here or one stuck there which was dealt with professionally and safely by every one . However I enjoyed the drive maximally climbing , bowling in and out and cutting through segments of weird technical patches which area 53 is well characterized for.I hope you all enjoyed the drive. till we meet once more take care and see you soon 🔜 Seidam

  3. @M.Seidam thank you for another wonderful drive, this was my first night intermediate drive and it did not fail to deliver. Amazing lines and fantastic route giving us a little of everything. second lead was amazing @Rajiv Sam you were faultless in your execution well done @Benjamin@Joji varghese@Waqas Parvezand @topgearyou guys drove amazingly well in some tricky terrain. As Doc said we all pretty much had our fair share of refusals and stucks, which of course is all part of the learning process. @Rajiv Sam hope you get your tyre sorted quickly should not need much, changing a tyre at night in the hot desert is difficult. However, we made it look easy with everyone pitching in to help, another great example of carnitas team work at play well down to you all.

  4. Thanks Sailors for joining in on drive today. Had been a year I was here on this side of Badayer and what a beautiful day it turned out to be - great set of drivers, awesome weather and amazing terrain. Honestly after 1st hour, I had my chin hanging down to my belly. Bushes all over the places reminded me of our last week drive to Faqa and had almost killed my enthusiasm for the day. However, as it turned out - it was just a initial hiccup as once we reached the real play areas - it was just superb . And we made the most of it - side slipping through super soft sand, criss crossing and switching over those awesome ridges - the whole convoy just rocked it. No stucks, no ropes and not even a shovel used - brilliant all. @Bashar Beasha - you were the perfect Sl for the drive. Scarred with all those bushes we had transverse, I was reluctant at multiple points but you responded well to all challenges and adapted beautifully. Thanks @Gary F and @Jaro Tuzinsky for helping out with all refusals in the middle and thanks @Beide Worku for keeping the convoy together. With you and @Mark B at end I was always confident - alls good with the convoy. @Hugo for the first fb+, was a really good outing for you, don’t think you had any major challenge other than couple of refusals. Welcome to next level of off roading - it only gets better from here. @Salim Akhtar and @Gertjan another perfect outing for you two. @Zulfikhar Naiyar had moments of doubts on his car, however once the flow started - it was really rocking the climbs and switches. Right approach can make a big diff even if car is having some niggles. The fact we had not so happy faces when I announced the end of drive is testament to the fun we had together. Thanks again for your company today morning, looking forward to catch up with you all sometime soon.

  6. @M.Seidam fantastic drive! Much like your FB drives &FB+ it gave the opportunity to enjoy a range of different skills on a more advanced level. I’ll look forward to the next one for sure! also I’ve got a POV of the shovel recovery if you happen to want to see how it looked from the exterior of the car following this I should have a POV video edited and posted which I’ll share a link to when it’s ready @Rajiv Sam sorry about the tyre mate but it happens to everyone. I’m just glad you spotted it before moving on from the bowl so we could drive accordingly to prevent any accidents. @Joji varghese @Waqas Parvez@topgear amazingly well driven certainly made most of the night crusade. @Davie Chase I’m afraid your not escaping the title smooth operator! Fantastic in the back as usual hopefully I’ll see you soon!

  13. Thanks @Hisham Masaad Had a wonderful off road experience today. First time I'm seeing this pink rock. Despite living in Dubai for over 10 years, I had never come across such a place before. Now I feel a bit guilty that I didn't start this off-road journey earlier. Once again thanks to our marshal @Hisham Masaad and @Carnity to give this opportunity. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to @Looper and @Benjamin for their invaluable support throughout the drive and for being our 360 camera . Thanks to all the visitors, and we look forward to meeting again soon...

  17. You have to change way you are thinking about car maintenance, especially offroad car maintenance. With 10 years old Wrangler for example, you don't need to go to the dealer for service and maintenance, you don't need to go even to high level garages in Al Quoz somewhere. There is fields of happiness in Sharjah people called scrap yards 😄, you can get there almost new engine for 10k including swapping. I've got there 2018 gearbox for 2.5k+1k for installation. What you are worried about if you can completely change engine and gearbox together for less than 15k? Offroad wheels and rims cost more. You can't jump to offroading with standard mentality. If you be always thinking how much will cost your repairs in case you will jump or climb high dune, you will never become part of this life. You have to look for the dune where you might potentially destroy your shocks, and do everything to avoid damages. Of course all this applicable to higher level of drives, but remember there is only 15 drives between absolute newbie and the level where you will need proper shocks, proper wheels, cold air inrake, exhaust and many more to be able to comply with requirements.
