It has been couple of months since I last joined an IM drive, and I was not disappointed to have waited that long. With the new scheme from Ale, we all pitched in to identify a waypoint that we wanted to explore. @Ale Vallecchi thank you for giving us the opportunity to follow your lead, identify the waypoints, and also enjoy ourselves during this drive. with such a beautiful (and cool) morning, it was tempting to stay in bed.... It was also a good opportunity for me to train for the upcoming DCT, with high paced drive in tricky terrain. I hope that you will be able to get your 'power' restored to your car. @Salim Akhtar @Tareq Al Turq @Jona @Beide Worku thank you for making all of us enjoy this drive - barely 2 - 3 re-attempts, which is normal considering the terrain, including the break to help the 3 'locals', who BTW, followed us for more than 1 hour until they wanted to get out and find the nearest gas station. @Dan S I will make a decision as we progress through the week and we see who stays on the drive, peoples plans change and sometimes they drop out, as you said very early yet, watch this space and I will let you all know later in the week. Hi @Robk thanks for reaching out, unfortunately we can only allow folks who have the correct grading structure to join the drive. We do understand that there are no Newbie drives this weekend however, we have to follow the structure. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

@Rob S awesome that u got u car washed right away. 3 days later and I still have sand blowing around the car whenever i crack open the window.. MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities DRIVE DETAILS Level: Fewbie and above When: 18 November 2023, Saturday Meeting time: 07:00 - Sharp (Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: 24°55'16.4"N 55°31'19.8"E - Google Maps Approximate finish time: 11:00 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Mandatory off-road gears: Tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio, off-road flag, shovel, first-aid kit, Tow Rope, 2 Shackles and fire extinguisher. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE This drive is limited to 10 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 12 PM. Please withdraw your RSVP, if you find you are unable to join, so your spot can be taken by others in the waitlist. Hi Robk, I would suggest that you apply for a fewbie promotion following the guidance of the below topic, in this way you can be promoted early based on all your Marshall's and desert trips that you have done until now, than you will be with full "license" to apply for fewbies

Cute but Furious convoy ! I knew it was gonna be fun when I saw it was gonna be small convoy and knowing we’ve never been in that specific area before. @Rafey Hashmimight label me as a positive lead but you’re definitely a super positive second lead ! Our initial struggles in where I really wanted to get to know the Jimny meant the first hour we had some good shoveling and trials and tribulations 😂. But we had plenty of time, the weather was great, and with @Shahid Mehmood, @Dan S and @Xavi Moyanoas fellow positivo’s we had great laughs and got moving eventually. The second part must have angered that car as once you were on 5-6 psi there was no stopping you. The entire convoy drove marvelously and we had a good uninterrupted flow which was a blessing as I could observe the clouds and the occasional fox. 🦊 I kinda forgot how much fun a small convoy can be. We didn’t pay much attention but clocked in at around 50k without too much issues. See you all soon in the sand again !

What an awesome drive! The best till now in my Carnity journey. @FredericYour positive attitude is the real driver (pun intended) to your convoy's success. I hope I lived up to my first S/L role. @Shahid MehmoodIf it wasn't for you to pull it out - we would still be adding 4 more horses in the soft sand pocket. Lol @Xavi MoyanoGreat guidance from your end - and hey thanks again for the shoveling, psi checking+++ @Dan S My man - great energy to be around with - excellent sidies and lots of power! Took it like a champ!! Learnings: 5 PSI is the new standard. Fred is a daredevil during the day. A Jimny keeps moving. Pop-outs are natural. See you all on the next one! 🙈

Just at the carwash so thought to use the time to say thanks @Islam Soliman for taking us through the sands. Thanks @anish and @Simon D for the support! Well done to @Rahul6157 and @Rohit Deginal for your first outing on the sand. You both did great, following instructions, not fighting gravity and self recovering from one or two stucks. Others Infront of me and directly behind did very well. Key learning of the day were balancing the gap to the car Infront and choosing right place to stop, or start when the convoy got moving again. I became the victim of this shortly after Rahul's stuck but managed to self recover with aggressive right and left steering along with blipblip of the throttle. We also got to learn the use of the shovel for self recoveries from a crest, digging a V channel in front and behind the crested car. . . . And a little bit of a push at the end too!
