Thanks for leading the drive tonight @M.Seidam, and for the 2L @Zulfikhar Naiyar and @Senthil Kumar sweeping for us. We started on time with a full moon, and started doing some 'spagetthi' moves on the southern side of big red before moving around to the east for more, then we stopped for some moon gazing (it's a strawberry full moon at the moment to Mark the summer solstice!) A few climbs later @Zulfikhar Naiyar noticed his temps rising and we stopped to do a makeshift coolant change and to re attach some hoses. After a quick boost start we headed slowly to the exit as the XTERRA night was over. We then headed back to climb big red when @Aser and @waqar had an unfortunate meeting with a ditch. I exited the drive with @Aserand we listened to the other recovery while reinflating over the radios. Nice meeting you @Mahesh_π Hope the rest of the drive was good fun, repairs get done quickly, and everyone has a good weekend. PS, we drive about 50kph from expo back to Abu Dhabi cos of EXTREME FOG... π π π π5 points

Thank you all for joining the drive this morning. Yes indeed, I did not expect so many bushes in the area, and obviously, it had an impact on our progression. Still we had a nice exploration of this portion of desert that is rarely crossed during our drives. A way to see also that this desert is very much occupied, with camel farms, fences, tracks, gas pipelines, abandoned power lines, we even crossed into a luxury camping resort under construction. From a driving point of view, we had our challenges, with the soft sand everywhere, the slip faces to cross (congrats @Adam Black with the long truck), and these portions where we had to climb from the side with sufficient momentum to avoid getting dragged down into a steep pocket. @Matt - monkeywrench had a pop-out in one of these, showing that it was not easy to control. We also had a few long ridges where we could practice keeping the balance of the car. Well done @Matt - monkeywrench and @Adam Black for your first Fewbie drive, thank you @Emanuel for the second lead, and @Islam Soliman for sweeping and supporting. @Cesar Chacon @Zubair @Cristian @RiadJL, very well driven, it was a pleasure to have you. And yes, we will put this drive back on the agenda in winter, to see if we can reach further. You will all be FB+ or above by then !4 points

Dear desert wanderers @Anoop Nair, @Carl Stanley, @Victor Socaciu, @Jon L, @Mark B, @Zubail, @Pramod B, @Sameer D. and @Jeandre Bezuidenhout firstly thanks for arriving on time and being ready to leave deflated flags up briefing completed etc. at 06:30. The drive meandered us from teh big red side of Tawi Nazwa to Pink rock and finished up at 2nd dec cafe exit. You all drove amazingly well, we only had a handful of refusals and stucks, even as teh sand got a tad soft in places. @Anoop Nair great S/L was a pleasure to know you were behind me smoothing out the lines for the convoy behind and following my every instruction to the letter. @Carl Stanley getting more confident on the climbs and the sideies etc, just need to pay around with gearing when climbing and learn to tell when that momentum is going to run out before it runs out and turn down, but definitely getting there mate. @Victor Socaciu great drive just a couple of refusals but great driving non the less you handled everything we threw at you with ease. @Jon L was great to see the power of the TRX in action again, we did learn that it has a temperamental heat sensor on the steering box and did not like trying to self-recover in the heat of the day. good to know and probably needs a little more research, same comment as for Carl with the momentum as well as angel of attach as we discuss at one of the breaks. @Zubail great driving in the expedition my friend, hope the bumper gets sorted out and the duct tape lasts until then, suggest you get them trimmed for sure or it will be a never-ending issue. @Pramod B good stuff today definitely better and smoother throttle and brake control exhibited today so well done and keep at it as it is coming together. @Sameer D. great drive today just watch those tire pressures and try to get that smoothness we are always talking to into your driving style, especially the Throttle and steering. @Jeandre Bezuidenhout fantastic sweep mate, thanks for being there gave me piece of mind having you at the back giving advice and keeping the convoy together thanks and appreciated @Mark B great command of the middle of the convoy mate, definitely see you growing into the support role from a knowledge standpoint, and fantastic to here the advice to others over the radio, keep it up and thanks for the great support today. @Jon L Thanks for taking the initiative to clean up the desert couple of pics below, and thanks to all team members in true carnity fashion who all pitched in with a quick clean up resulting in two black bags full of rubbish removed from the desert. well done to all. Before After Check out Morning adventure on Relive! https://www.relive.cc/view/vDqgrZKmkG6 Have a great rest of your weekend !4 points

Thank you, @Davie Chase, @Mark B, and the entire team for this incredible ride in Sharjah! It was an excellent training and a wonderful experience, especially with a couple of rainbows climbs. I'm glad we cleaned a small portion of the desert. It's often too filled with trash. We should institutionalize such initiatives in the community and be known for removing bags of filthy trash every weekend. Thanks for joining the initiative triggered by my son Sacha. Hi5 to everyone until the next one... @Davie Chase I'm discovering Relive App, it's such a cool tool3 points

Yeah, my brother is laughing, he is saying you bought car or constructor to assemble 2 options. Trim all car or have 2nd desert car. But it was amazing drive, even with this thought the feeling of the car, the climbing high but without too much roar of engine, choosing right speed - it's so amazing, and of course views, sunrise, landscapes, good people around, it's amazing time, thanks a lot to you @Davie Chase @Mark B and @Jeandre Bezuidenhout It was great drive with funny refusals after inflation before tarmac Hope see you soon on sand! Take care all and have a nice weekend!3 points

Thanks @Gaurav for the exciting drive. This area is one of my favorites and I always enjoy going there The desert was the most crowded I've ever seen it with so many safari vehicles and ATVs zooming around. The sand was very choppy due to this with hundreds of tracks criss-crossing all over the place. Great job trying to find clean sand and lines for us to take! It was good seeing @Davie Chase again (in passenger princess mode though). Great advice and support as usual Always a pleasure seeing @Batuhan Kulac - awesome work as sweep supporting the few refusals and stucks at the back of the convoy Good to see @Shiju Raju, @NicolΓ² & @nithish468 again - we've been on the same drives several times recently Great driving from the whole convoy. Thanks for a great evening! See you all again soon2 points

IMPORTANT TO NOTE!!!! The cafe coffee machine at ADNOC 960 is not open until 0700. If coffee is important to you... Which arriving at 0515 it should be, I recommend ADNOC 614 (telal sweihan) π https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ti1Aupt8CVktvci572 points

Thanks @JeromeFJ & @Islam Soliman for the drive this morning. Good to see you again! Too bad we weren't able to make it to the final destination you had in mind Jerome - can try again in another drive The bushes and soft sand made for some slow going and led to a pop out and a couple of minor stucks and refusals. Overall the convoy did quite well Good to see everyone and will see you on the sand again soon2 points
