  4. @Glenn W, @ChrisW, @Mahesh_, @Frans M, @Juan R, @Deepak Eswar, @Sherry Jacob, @Michael asir, @RiadJL, @Mike M., @Batuhan Kulac Thank you all for signing up for the drive. It is going to be a roller costar, with a lot of twists and turns at least at the start of the drive. Later on, when we move though the Northside of the dunes to Tilal Swaihan it will be a technical drive. we are tired and feel like done with it we will move north to drive through some flatter dunes to quickly move to complete the drive. Meeting Time published is the start of the briefing unless otherwise stated, which means you should have deflated and ready by this time for the briefing. We will complete briefing and start the drive in 15 min max. Please take into consideration the time you need for deflation of tires, setting up flag and camera gear etc. and arrive earlier accordingly. It is inconsiderate to make others wait while you setup your car.

  5. Long Train Convoy ! @lucasmatt@ArSaLaN@J-P L@Premjit Vappala@Hani crest king@Aser@Yury@Ishraque@Amal Sunil@Sandeep Padhi@Kirill K@Natalia Koryakovtseva@Sviatoslav@Mohit Gurnani@Abdallah Alnajjar@Haneef Thayyil@frederic demolder@JAISROCK@Dipu Francis@Luke K P Thank you all for signing up ! I wanted to clarify that this scenic drive will be a very gentle drive throughout the Marmoom area, and not a dunebashing style of drive. Hopefully we will be able to spot some gazelles, oryx, and perhaps a fox if we are very lucky. This drive is more an opportunity to enjoy the terrain and bring some passengers along that need a gentle introduction to desert driving. Take note if you like to join in for the Australian Celebration night afterwards, please RSVP on that event as well, so we can keep tabs on how many people we can expect. As mentioned, once this drive is finished, we will drive to the exit together where you can choose to exit and go home or remain deflated and around 6.15PM we will be heading back into the sand (couple of dunes only nearby the exit point) for the Australian National day celebration. Of course there is no need to be Australian , it's a relaxed evening with good music and people sharing some food. Feel free to RSVP if you are interested in joining:

  7. Hello everyone, I currently have a 2010 Pajero with 18-inch rims and 265/60R18 Geolandar tires. I’m considering upgrading to Method 305 NV 17-inch rims (0mm offset) paired with 265/65R17 Geolandar tires. The suspension is stock, but I’ve already trimmed the bumper. Is this setup feasible, or could it lead to any issues? hat are the pros and cons I might face with this change? I’d appreciate your thoughts and suggestions! Thanks!

  9. ...or go even 16" if you have 2 door (2 door even with 3.8L uses 1 pot caliper which makes it possible to fit 16" rims) - 265/70 R16 or sth similar - more air, more rubber, better traction and no need to go oversize there: you can achieve much better traction in sand without risk of rubbing.

  10. hi @Pats at 0mm offset without any lift.. you will get rubbing of your tyres on the wheel arches when the suspension is under compression. when suspension under compression and turning.. you will be rubbing the fender and wheel arches. On my pajero.. this resulted in cracked fender plastic trim pieces, and the front wheel well liners getting torn completely out exposing the wiring harnesses etc which run through the inside of the steel fender. you could look for a method wheel that has higher offset, as close as possible to your factory offset to avoid rubbing. Or get the stock 17' rims and mount the R17 tyres on it.

  14. And you signed up for both.!! You were my anchor driving partner when I started leading. You used to join drive posted by a different lead every week and find me at the front. I used to wonder how you felt. Now it’s turn for someone else to have your august company.

  15. Drive Report: This is my video drive report. It took some time - hope you like it. A big thanks to @Davie Smooth_Operator for letting me take part of the extended convoy and doing the planning convoy order for the drive. All that I did was to just show up and drive. I would like this opportunity to thanks the support I got from @Vanessa8580. I felt the need for having an extra lead since the issues with my Jeep in Nahle a month ago. I am bit over dramatic on the matter but still prefer to have a safety of another lead to take over in case my Jeep fails me in the middle. @Jessica Lambert you were a fantastic sweep. Could not have asked more in a supporting role than what you did in the drive. Thanks a lot for the tug at the end. @Sherry Jacob, good to have have you in the wrangler as a second lead. You did well. @Yury you missed the briefing - but please make sure that you are on time and don't miss the instructions. Hope the front bumper issue could be resolved soon. Further down the convoy @Steve Farmer you bring the familiar Aussie wit to the drive - I know because my boss is Steve and is an Aussie - who is more fond of cricket than I am. @Abdullah A. you managed the Pajero like a veteran. @Sandeep Padhi - good to see you after a long long time, I guess that was one of my last Newbie drives in Qudra. @ArSaLaN you had a perfect drive till almost the end, same with @Dipu Francis - you could self recover from perhaps the lone refusal you had. @JAISROCK good to see you back on the Y62 beast - I hope we meet more often.
