  1. It’s called SMOD (Strawberry Milkshake of Death) and unfortunately is a known issue in all pre-2010 Xterras. Raveen, as per my understanding it’s a relative easy fix but one that a garage needs to do. You can either go to Nissan (expensive of course) or any decent off-road garage in Musssafah or Al Quoz and they’ll be able to sort you out. I’m not sure the extend of your problem, but you might want to tow your car to the garage to prevent further damage.

  2. That's why it took us a while to assess internally and distinguish real readiness from one-off unfortunate events that can happen to anyone at any time.

  3. Hi, you need to first find out why the coolant and transmission oil mixed, it’s not normal, I’m not very experienced with Xterra specifically but it’s still odd for the two fluids to mix. You can always go with a transmission cooler for obvious reasons, it will definitely help in the summer, especially if you are going on more demanding drives. Installing a cooling system will extend your transmissions life. My truck has a trucool system for the transmission as I had overheating issues when climbing very large dunes in the summer, after installing it, I haven’t had any problems Im sure the Xterra owners in Carnity will be able to share their inputs and experiences.

  4. I think @Carnity team realized that you did enough grounding last week and decided that you can move on. From memory, I think you did around 2-3 meters of grounding @Frans M Jokes aside, this could happen to anyone. No one said this is a risk-free hobby which makes it even more enjoyable. See you on the sands soon @Frans M

  10. Thank you @Luke K P @Ishak @Aser @Mike M. @Aadi @Looper and Carnity management who approved this. I thought I would be grounded instead of granted to intermediate 🤣 after what happened last week.

  11. Dear Desertnauts, thanks a lot for joining this spur of the moment drive. Not much to say, other than let's have fun, in a relaxing drive, with plenty of climbs and descents, trying to beat the rush of sundowners that usually clogs Badayer's tallest star dunes. The convoy order at the moment looks like the following: @Glenn W in Second Lead @Mads at #3 @Jose Luis Campos at #4 @Gautam Banka at Center @JAISROCK at #6 @Alex M at #7 and @Senthil Kumar in Sweep. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow to start at 3:00 PM. Meeting point will be posted shortly (at Badayer Shops).

  12. @Ale Vallecchi My car is showing a red warning - I am taking it to the garage now. Seems something is wrong with the differential. I have to quit this drive. Enjoy and join you next time.
