I have to admit, one of the most frustrating experiences of living in the UAE is the lack of certain high quality services at a market price. And this is especially true with cars. Since most of us are not mechanics, or lack the real possibility of fact-checking what they say, we usually fall into traps every time the car goes for service. Issues that don't exist, spare parts charged double the market price, and general low quality of labour and professionalism from the different workshops. Having said that, can anyone recommend a decent workshop in Dubai for a Jeep Wrangler? I'm not expecting to pay cheap, just a normal market price, but for honesty and professionalism. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Federic, I appreciate your advice. My off road trips are equally sand, wadis and mountains and, whilst I’m aware that the Duelers are OK in the sand, I’m not sure how hard wearing they will be over sharp rocks. I am thinking that the BFG’s might be a better alternative in this environment. I have been thinking that the 275x65R20 might be a possibility, but I have read various conflicting opinions about them rubbing on full lock. Once you start modifying the stock vehicles then all sorts of issues start to arise and we end up spending far more than we had originally planned for. I have looked into 18” rims, 2” lifts etc etc but my budget was spiraling out of control. Therefore I have decided to stay with stock everything for now but hopefully having a slightly higher spec tyre. Thanks again for your input, much appreciated.

Hi @Amr J good to see you again. I noticed that you haven't attended a carnity drive in around 5 months. I strongly recommend joining a fewbie drive first to get back in the rhythm before jumping straight into a FB+ (esp in salamat) Carnity recommends doing at least 1 drive at a lower level before resuming. I will be posting plenty more of these drives around al ain in the coming weeks so there will be lots more chances to join. 😁 I see Freddy is doing a FB drive in Fayah at the same time on Sunday.
