  1. We were all assembled and ready by 20:00 for a short but focused briefing before heading into the sands. Spirits were high and everyone was eager for a midweek blast under the stars. We kicked things off with a warm-up session — some playful sidies and small ridge runs to get both drivers and vehicles into rhythm. After about 45 minutes exploring the south side, we crossed over to the northern section, where the dunes grew taller and the challenges sharper. Here the real fun began — we practised left-right switching, double switches, ridge riding (both uphill and downhill), and even tackled a few blind switches. The team handled it brilliantly, maintaining formation and focus throughout. We had our first refusal during a switch attempt, but recovery was quick and smooth — great teamwork all around. At one point, a couple of vehicles with no lights roamed nearby, so extra caution was required. Despite that distraction, the convoy stayed composed. I had a bit of a wrestling match with one ridge — two quick stucks in two minutes, both efficiently handled with help from the whole team. Later on, as we approached the exit, I managed a third stuck, this time needing another winch recovery. These things happen 😅 We cruised back over the sabkha, maintaining a relaxed pace, and exited right on time at 22:30. Overall, it was a fantastic midweek drive — smooth coordination, great energy, and solid driving from everyone involved. Can’t wait for the next one! @Jose Luis Campos @Dan S @ChrisW

  2. Hello All, Hello @M.Seidam I am Piotr and about two weeks ago I completed the Master Class training with Gaurav. I have some experience driving on snow and ice, but I’m new to sand, so I would consider myself a beginner here. A few months ago, I bought my first off-road car, a 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor, which has two front and two rear recovery hooks. Today, I received Baofeng UV-5RH radio (still need to finish programming it), and I’m planning to install safety flags later this week. I already have the standard gear such as: compressor, tire deflator, shovel, first aid, fire extinguisher and kinetic line. Looking forward to joining upcoming drives and learning from you all! Best regards, Piotr

  3. This was a really fun drive. Thank you for leading @Luke K P, delivered exactly on the brief! @Jose Luis Campos you drove confidently and positioned the car well on the terrain, finding the right balance of speed and momentum, position and line. Good work! @Dan S Amazing work for an early night drive. Everything was executed safely and you made some good early calls to come off a line that wasn’t working. Good foundation for future drives. We also all got to practice different levels of recovery and working with soft sand. Really good quality trip out 😁
