    Unlike most of the off-road clubs in UAE, who don't post such tragic videos to scare offroaders we believe in sharing such videos and understanding the risk involved so that every offroader can drive safely in UAE.     It was probably the best drive of the whole year so far. Asif bhai thanks for wonderful planning and amazing lead - fast pace + full of action in some of the best dunes in the UAE. Although I was very tired from whole day drive and lack of sleep, still wishing for more towards the end as it was the best drive we have had in a long time with the fast-moving convoy and exceptional drivers. Very well done Intermediate level drive, keep it up

    Very wisely said, total respect If I agree to pay 50 dhs for a branded switch instead of 10 dhs that might blow my car off I will pay ONLY if I have been presented with an option: If a mechanic assumes that 10 is better for me - is a wrong move If a mechanic assumes that I will pay 50 - is also the wrong move

    Wow, that was really fast to solve the issue. Can you please share what you did to find the real culprit so fast. @desertdude: can you please share some OBD - generic or brand specific scanner under 100 dhs as I like to buy these since a long time, to have a periodic look on general health? Preferred brand for me is Mitsubishi, Land Rover and Chevrolet

    Sorry for late reply, wifey trailblazer has a tow bar but we don't have a hitch if that helps let me know. Alternatively, you know Pajero has a winch if that works, I'm happy to pass by and help

    It's good to see an educated buyer and fairly comparing apple to apples only. Though both of them are in the same league and offers the same feature, performance, and pricing so I really like what desertdude said that drive both and decide which make you smile more. I agree Audi is more stylish than Merc, but Merc has more elegance than Audi and few people like that over style. Research more on what Stig said about DSG, then you will reach your conclusion faster. Also, you can search and find more of known problems and recalls happen in either model like this one Either way, congrats in advance for your next ride and do share her pics whenever you get it.

    It's OK to not to see the point - every time. Of course, it was a scrap plane that he sourced and a bit of ding dang actually adds to the character than a flaw, as it's not a shiny crispy Boeing A380 from Emirates Airlines. The actual point is how well he joined both car and plane together and made a street legal car that turns more head than lambos and ferrari. It's like those Amphibious buses that runs in Dubai Creek has an unbelievable concept that attracts all tourists

    Sorry to get back so late but tbh, I have no clue on the requested question as it's been over 4 years I have crossed the Oman border and things have changed a lot in last 2-3 years. Do share your experience to help others in the future

    Or maybe it's a UAE's hot weather that kills the battery faster and that's why manufacturer stopped spending on best quality batteries and focussed on 1-year ticking time bomb batteries. AC Delco's and Solite has best engineers to fail their batteries exactly after 1 year + 1 month. I have had this experience more than 3-4 times in different cars.

    Also if the car was sitting for a while, everything becomes little out of order so drive for a week and see any improvement before spending further. My Pajero sitting for a month and a half had some rattling noise, tight steering, and hard braking which got normal after a couple of drives.

    By looks tire pressure on 35 or 25 looks "almost same" to the layman, but it makes a hell of a difference in steering, fuel mileage and shortening your tire life by half. So inflate to 32-35 and see any difference. Also, check your steering fluid level at first and ask someone to sit inside and steer full right and left once and then top up the fluid as it will go down after a bit of steering movement. Suspension work often results in tight feel in jumping and bouncing and not steering tight per se, but give few days to see if you get used to or not then show it some good mechanic for an opinion.

    Did you check your tire pressure? Any recent work is done on steering / suspension....?

    Hahahaha, I totally agree, but this was definitely fake as my Pajero is an off-road car only and not daily driver which get used only once a week. This could have died much earlier in daily driver. Or may be those warranty engineers uses some time base alarm clock than actual usage.
