  2. Good Morning Sailors Few more hours of slogging and we will in weekend. For me somehow these few hours are going to be a bit longer - have some work commitment till late in eve, so thought of posting details before I get engrossed again with the grind. Channel : 4 Meeting time : 6am Convoy Order : Varun @Krishna R @Ishak @Patrick van der Loo @Mahmoud Taha @Tharun Kumar V @Benjamin @Joseph Raju See you all tomo. Have fun Friday.
  3. Nice initiative @Frederic.. are these pics the reflection of Curious Case of Frederic. You looked older decades back
  4. @Ishak @Gurcharan Mehta @Joseph Raju @Patrick van der Loo @Ahmad Nerat @Mahmoud Taha @Benjamin @Tharun Kumar V @Krishna R @Ali Abas Thanks all for RSVPing for the drive. This is a highly versatile and diverse terrain - scalable to any level with potential to explore all elements of off-roading - ridge riding, criss crossing, steep climbs and some really awesome bowls to explore. We have all been to this place and explored these beautiful features that Tawi Nazwa offers. At NB/FB level, usually, we handle these challenges on One at a time concept. Plan for this drive is to try and experience them while maintaining a continuous flow of vehicles at a good pace - so it will be a good test of our off-roading skills, ability to handle our vehicles, radio communication and convoy discipline. Its been a while i have been in this area, so i am really looking forward to it. Please ensure that your vehicle are set for the challenge and you are well rested for the drive. Looking forward to see you this saturday. Cheers
  5. Exactly my thought, perhaps was thinking about how would I get back to Dubai with it starting to rain and no proper roof on my car 😀 … @Ranjan Das managed to find one of the rarest of moments when I didn’t had a ear to ear smile during this drive 😀

  7. Dear Sand Sailors After more than 6 months, High Speed Drama series is back again to where it all started - Tawi Nazwa. Most of us have already been to Tawi Nazwa, clicked some nice pics on top of Pink Rock and had fun rolling through nice bowls that this area offers. It was all good for NB and FB drives. With this drive, we will take adventure to another level by adding lot more gas and thrill to this route well travelled. And to add to the drama, we aspire to climb all the way to the top of Big Red and have some fun around the place (ofcourse while ensuring Safety as our top priority). So get ready to make your engine roar and fulfil our Need For Speed. 8. @Stan @Chris Wing @Miguel Codes @Pacific @Rk ram @Misha Puskar @Sebb @george charbel Thanks Sailors for a fun morning and special thanks to @Frederic for planning this drive, defining this awesome route through beautiful scenic and amazingly diverse terrain. The elaborate details you had mapped out made sure we had beautiful off roading experience. Drive Report Convoy 2 Somethings can just be experienced not expressed. So is true for this drive today. It was peaceful, it was fun, it was as we expected a beautiful scenic drive. Two things that stood out for me. - ofcourse the most awaited part - the water crossing. Thanks @Pacific and @Chris Wing for your support through the same. - and even better (at least for me) was that awesome all dressed up in Green Sabka or as Fred says - Namibia in UAE, and so true does remind me of Etosha’s pans. Thanks all, see you on our next adventure togather.
  9. Next time I will atleast get one pic clicked with shovel in my hand. Gives a perception that lead was just lazing around - need to kill it. 😀😀
  10. Since that day, been trying to figure out where were you planning to go .. 😀 Car is facing totally in diff direction .. 😀
  11. @Gok Krish know you dig this one, let’s switch cars 😂😂
  12. Hi @Miguel Codes we have a couple of drop outs so if interested feel free to join in at 7am.
  13. Thanks Andrei, noted it after posting the details. Take care, hope to see you sometime soon.
  14. Thanks @Frederic - this is undoubtedly one of the most diverse route i have been on, surely wouldn't have missed the chance to lead a drive here. Dear Sand Sailors @george charbel@Pacific @Misha Puskar @Sebb @Stan @Chris Wing @Rk ram please find below the details of the drive. Meeting Time: 7am Channel : 3 Drive Plan: In general as already shared by Frederic. Just one point to add - me and Fred have a bet on who will reach the destination later. No, we arent counting on your refusals 😀 but ability of convoy to find the most scenic spots and get some mesmerizing shots of nature. Ofcourse, being a big hearted person i am, i decided to give a head start to my old(er) brother 😘. So, make sure you are coming with your eyes wide open and cameras well set, as i dont want to lose this bet. Convoy Order (a bit re-ordered, to ensure we win). 1. Varun Mehndiratta in Maroob Rubicon 2. Miguel Codes- Jeep Red will be our SL 3. Misha Puskar - Jeep Wrangler 4D Grey 4. R K Ram - Xterra 5. Pacific - Jeep 2DR White at centre will be supporting the drive. 6. Charbel George Jeep White 7. Sebb - Safari White 8. Stan Wrangler 4D Green 9. Chris Wings in FJ Cruiser will be sweeping the convoy. See you all tomo. Take good rest and kill the snooze switch on your alarm clocks
  15. Congratulations @Ahmad Nerat enjoy the next level, looking forward to see more Tik Tok drive videos from you.
  16. Perfect place and angle to be created on a ridge 😀 well anchored on both sides and on belly as well 😀
  17. Dear Sand Sailors Thanks for joining in for this exploration drive today. Being an exploration drive, I am limiting my report to some facts and feedback on convoy, leaving it to you all to share your thoughts on terrains and experience. So kindly let us know your genuine, unbiased opinion about drive experience, terrain and your perspective on if it’s worthy of on road time we spent to reach to location - so as to enable us at @Carnity to assess this location for next season. Drive Report Razeen is one of the darkest area in UAE and on a cloudy night, passing through the empty roads, next to a correctional premises was in itself a thrill for me. I had been to the location almost an year back and had at back of my mind a possibility of access issues etc. So I reached the location around 20-25 earlier to ensure we don’t have any last min logistical issues. It wasn’t to be and with whole convoy on time, we started with the first ray of sunlight (a faint one though with the cloud cover still on) at 630am. For first 2.5 hours, we explored dunes in Razeen. As was expected, sand was soft to super soft, ridges super sharp, dunes not so regular and a bit of vegetation adding further to challenges. While we had our fair share of regular refusals and few stucks (including mine), overall the whole convoy did amazingly well as we sailed through the place at a pretty good pace of around 22kmph. Special shout out to @Jessica Lambert. Honestly, though having been on drives togather, I knew about her driving skills, still I thought choosing Razeen for 1st intermediate drive was a bit of a bold move. She really proved it that it’s not a risky or bold move if one is confident about their skill. 💪💪👍👍 At around 930am, we had two options - - Spend another hour exploring Razeen (with well spread out dunes waiting to be explored, was very much dooable) and exit around 1030-11am. - Take our exploration further and move towards Watbha canal. Togather as convoy, we opted for Watbha exploration. Never been on this route, we relied on Gaia and we were in for our fair share of surprise. Sand was powder soft and dunes super tricky - felt like wide spread out long range dunes of Faqa have been zipped in togather to form a technical area of Qudra. We had continous refusal through the ln of convoy - starting from me to the end of convoy, including our lone pop out of the day. However, with good camaraderie at work and supporting each other, we managed to hit the final sabka at 11am, having travelled another 30Km. @Imteeaz @Santoso Marjuki @Jessica Lambert and @Looper that was one of the fastest pop out fix that I have experienced, very well done. And @Amr Aydin you were just brilliant as SL through this patch - with continous struggle to find right lines, I had to readjust multiple times and you executed it brilliantly. At end of Sabka, we went through the ln of Dafrah PV, the biggest PV in Abu Dhabi. With access controlled, to reach the canal, we had to retract a bit however by 1130am we ended the drive at the Watbha canal (thanks @Looper for support in finding the right location). Overall we drove 79Km at moving speed of 24Kmph - brilliant for the terrain and exploration drive. And to top that our ascent through the drive was just short of 1Km mark (958m to be precise) - a good reflection of steep climbs we did. Thanks all for your patience and all the support through this adventure. @Ranjan Das and @Gok Krish a brilliant drive for both the Jeep and thanks for your support during refusals and stucks. @Imran Kashif apart from couple of refusal early in drive and a tricky stuck you in general had a very good drive. Being SL on exploration drive isn’t easy you managed it pretty well. Please find better soln to fix your radio though. @Jessica Lambert you were simply amazing today - a few refusals, pop out at end of an extended drive can happen with anyone of us at this level. 🤩🤩. Please check on the options to switch off airbags in your car.@Waqas Parvez @ASAD., @Gaurav @Frederic and other Prado drivers at @Carnity request your advice on topic - due to warranty obligation kill switch I understand isn’t an option. We took off the fuse from box, however it led to warning beep sound in the car. Please share your thoughts. Thanks again for joining in and looking forward to hear your thoughts about drive, terrain and overall experience through this new location. Picture of thousand words. PS: with open top, half doors I needed a similar shower (can’t post that pic 😀😀)
  18. This is a killer shot… that shovel seems to be ready for some diff experiement.
  19. Hi @Charbel thanks for sharing somehow I could see your name in the rsvp when I posted convoy list. Perhaps some system delay or something. Thanks and looking forward to see you sometime soon.
