just clearing the thoughts of where will things be moving just in case anyone wonders whats gonna happen to a engine

seems it also could be the wiring to the ecu if you have changed to a known working sensor... if you can show what was the initial computer diagnosis that would also help to the right direction...

just in case to everyone here the strip down of the engine is what hopefully @Barry has mentioned earlier...as i am having a feeling that the spot light is moving somewhere else here it seems

guess after eid i will be going there to search for some parts in that area will get numbers for you...

i wouldn't mind to flip it and remove some bolts as long as @Barry bhai and @Gaurav bhai are here and ofcourse with a few chilled green teas as well

i had a pajero sent in for timing belt replacement i replaced it and started all was good but as the customer came to take the car it just went cucu and just shut off all interior lights, remote and combination switch functions on its own called @Barry and he said to just check some fuses on the inside of the car i checked and vola all was good but still no fuses were burnt maybe it was some resistance problem in voltage which made it behave like that but still he saved all the trouble which i was gonna take by removing the things related to all those components the next night the customer came and took his car happly...

what car it is maybe a replacement window would be cheap as sometimes those pesky passing guys will suck on it to fail the car too

auto jabain and auto chockup are some shops from where i got refurbished shocks for a merc and rr i guess they also repair and give warranty on their work they both are at cola road

there is sound from top end too one head also

yes @desertdude is right if you have a manual or just check with someone who has the same model and spec car if the pajeros have the auto up feature or not in the first place... i have had pajeros come in but never had to fiddle with the window of any maybe @Barry can shed some light on this matter... whenever i get stuck or lost in some problem he save's the day specially in pajero problems...

stating what is beaten and how much beaten can only be found out by a tear down of this engine and after a few words with a guy who works in habtoor said if the problem is down then let go of the engine if its in the head only then its fine you can go for rebuild... and i think the upgraded pistons bearings and rings will suerly need a upgraded head compnents as well then it all boils down to cost and the ultimately passing issue with higher co's as bearing in mind that the lathe works is still not as completely professional as in western countries where they actually boil the components and then start work on them and they have proper measuring tools which even gauge the difference in very mute scalings if it were any other car which is a occasional off roader or only street driving then no problem the rebuild is still possible hell even one of the 3 engines which gaurav bhai checked out was tadd good to be tossed in for 2.5k instead of going for all the trouble and still it would work out just fine but i have seen them drive its full time hardcore off roading....

the engine is old so it surely has been well passed the break in period...the only explanation there is of a knocking engine is oil lubrication... as after inspection of oil there were shiny particles in oil which is a sign of bearings and journals.... and engines don't go poof and die surely there was a sign the car would have run a bit sluggish or heavy way before it made the sound or engine died... there should not be any major difference in 5 or coupe version engine or transmission of same years

the options are still being explored...but the dohc 24 valve is the unique factor which shapes this car..if we toss in the 3.5 one then it will be under powered...

if it has 1 side auto feature then it should go all the way up or or all the way down in auto but in toyota or lexus it usually has the both side auto feature so works both ways as it button has 4 switches in the single button and don't know about pajero but in lancer it has the down auto only for driver window

it could be a sludged idle speed control valve as your problem is only visible during idle it could point towards fuel pump pressure coils and injectors if the missing was rpm or speed related why dont you remove that speed control thingy and get it cleaned nicely and toss it back in and while you are at it also get the throttle body cleaned too and keep an eye out for that air filter thingy as its almost always overlooked...

@Asif Hussain bhai the tow hook should be sorted after eid as the last time i went they were out of hooks the trailer tows are pretty expensive but not suitable for this application for the time being please make use of the epilictal bows on both sides of the car in the rear i am sure they are sturdy enough for this job

you fault or not your fault i always thought that you have to take the vehicle to their place so they take the pictures and later recommend you a workshop to go to for fixing and if the vehicle is immobile then i guess still you have to take it to the insurance and from there they usually haul it wherever they want...

if you cough up the details then someone might be able to shed some light here

camrys are always a reliable and strong cars except the a/c system in the newer ones with the sensor type compressor that also can be sorted by reverting to the old type compressor other than that all is good...

there is a very wide choices of suvs in toyota range like LC ,prado,fortuner,highlander,4runner,rav4 some from another specs and others are available here in gcc specs

try a few shops near old rotana you might find what you looking for there a its the center for entertainment systems in sharjah
